It seems Vidic is to leave United at the end of this season and with Ferdinand playing only occasionally could Shawcross be a target in the summer. Had SAF still been in charge I think there would have been a possibility but with Moyes maybe not. I hope he is happy with Evans, Smalling and Jones and leaves us well alone. I would not want our captain to leave but I suppose it could happen at some stage.

I dont think Shawx is playing well enough and consistently enough to be selected as a United target - at the moment. In addition, I dont think Moyes has got a clue what he is doing and I expect him to make some glaring transfer blunders come the summer, especially if they dont qualify for the CL and Rooney and Van Persie leave!

I don't think so Shawx isn't the class of player he will be looking at he.

Not many top centre backs around these days.

Says a lot when John Terry is arguably the best a the mo.

To be fair though , he may be an odious character but he is still a cracking CB.

exactly Nicky, Terry and Ashley Cole are terrible human beings but in my opinion have been some of the best defenders since the premiership was born
