When are team is running proper , it runs on it's own more than any other team . If Monk can just be a calming effect , his job will be only to learn as the team runs itself . Next season brings a whole new idenity and set of problems. Players will want to leave , some won't want to come to us, shes back to the drawing boards I fear

Know your football????????? You make me want to vomit, you obnoxious excuse for a fan. Quite frankly I have never met anyone who knows less about the game than you do. You have made yourself a laughing stock here on numerous occasions and you're just too thick to see it.

As I've already told you, I have nothing but contempt for you and your views. You could never relate to the likes of Michael Laudrup because he is many, many degrees a classier person than you could ever be. You wouldn't know what class is if it hit you between the eyes. And don't worry about Michael Laudrup. He will find a far bigger club than us to manage.

Laudrup was blocked from coming anywhere near the training ground to say farwell to players , treated like an outcast . He got a short note saying he was sacked. Thats the thanks he got for our best season ever and all his hard work. Jenkins overstepped here , it's one thing to let a manager go , it's another thing the way you do it . Absolute classless and tasteless actions by Huw and the board . The brief article through the league managers association is well worth the read . Laudrup is taking legal action and who could blame him , Huw's 4.5 million blunder may only be a down payment , mickey mouse action to say the least

The 4.5 million pound blunder has to be accounted for. There are two sides (or more) in every dispute. There has clearly been a breakdown in communications between the Board and Michael Laudrup and the Club now has to pay for it.

It is easy to treat ML as The Fall Guy and then move on quietly.

Unfortunately we need to hear that the Board have learnt lessons from this and if necessary Board members need to be disciplined. The allegation that ML and HJ did not speak since October is damaging. If you were a manager of any professional organisation, at a minimum you would require weekly meetings with key staff.

To not even talk to them suggests this is a personality issue which needs to be addressed so that subsequent managers are not treated in the same way.

Spot on pgf , we've heard the board , they just want to move on and now I know why . I want to hear more of what Mike says rather than the board from here.

This is the link (I put it up as a thread as well) - http://www.not606.com/showthread.ph...inted-out-by-Seabreeze)?p=6047025#post6047025

Legally I can't see how the Board can defend the sacking and will have to pay full compensation. In black and white terms, when ML left we were 12th in the Premier League, in the 5th round of the FA Cup and in the last 32 of a European competition. That can hardly be described as underperformimg.

Squeaky bum time for the Board I reckon.

If that was true then you'd think who made that decision would have to have one hell of a reason to do so.With Jenkins previous statement you'd have thought Laudrup may have taken the decision well but obviously not

<laugh> I told you more than once, Laudrup is a muppet and a tax dodger. He will never get £4.5 million in compensation and had no right to try and interrupt training...If he wanted to say goodbye then he can do that another time at the clubs convenience and not his, he has nothing to do with the club now and don't have any right at the training ground...He should have spent more time at the training ground when he was manager <ok> If the players want to say goodbye to their worst manager in their careers then let them do it off the clubs premises, There wont be many takers anyway and he will have a long wasteful wait..<laugh>

Judge: "Mr Jenkins, why did you sack Mr Laudrup?"
Huw: "Because he was failing in his job as a manager"
Judge: "In terms of performance, can you tell me how bad the Swansea City team were?"
Huw: "Yes – After winning the League Cup at Wembley, the first major trophy the Club have ever won, we only finshed 9th in the Premier League. Our next season was worse. After beating Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium in Spain and knocking Manchester United out of the FA Cup at Old Trafford, we slumped to 12th in the Premier League. We were in the last 32 in a European competition and were in the 5th round of the FA Cup. He HAD to go.”
Judge: “Just hand over the £4.5 million, there’s a good lad”

Let me assure you all, our board might not have handled the sacking well, but you had better believe they had adequate grounds to do so, and Laudrups murmurings of legal action, are all an attempt to prop up his flagging managerial career, he didn't wast any time in coming out with this, and now he can reflect on his poor managerial performance, matter of fact I think he should take a long sabbatical from the game, his heart is clearly not in it, shame he didn't take his job as seriously as he did his playing career, or maybe he's just not cut out to be a manager, lets be honest are all the clubs he's been at wrong? Nothing will come of his so called legal action.........<ok>

Judge: "Mr Jenkins, why did you sack Mr Laudrup?"

Huw: "Because he would sometimes not turn up for work without even letting us know where he was."

Judge: "Mr Laudrup - fúck off out of here and here's a £1m fine for wasting judicial time."
