With all the commotion going on at Swansea and the possibility of a new manager wanting to keep Ki (providing they stay up) does anyone know what length of contract Ki has at swanse

Yup, this could be a problem ...however, I have a feeling Ki's problems at Swansea go further than the borders of Wales and the issue may not be resolved at managerial level.

Apparently Laudrup and Ki had a falling out on a personal level. Although I would still expect you guys to buy him from us in the summer.

This may well be so.

Of course, the new boss will have enough to think about without concerning himself about a player, who, as far as he is concerned is out for the rest of the season.

Out of sight out of mind?

imo a hell of a lot (not just Ki) rests on the end of the season and what, if anything, we achieve.

Any evidence of that mate or is it just gossip?

Wouldn`t apply to the new bloke anyway. Same thing happened here with Di Canio and Bardsley. (Di Canio and everybody come to think of it) but you know what I mean?

An inkling ...

We just need to assume he won't be here. We've gad these debates before, about keeping loanees, Rose for example.

If we can get him, great, but let's not take it for granted. Poyet won't be, that's for sure. He'll be hoping for the best but looking for a replacement come June.

with rose we always knew we were developing someone else's player for the future. that can't be said for Ki

That we were just developing him for someone else maybe true Funk but almost everyone on here seemed to think we'd be able to buy him before he eventually returned.

I get that the situation is different but this particular reason doesn't suggest there's a reason for thinking he'll stay, which was my initial point.

I hope Gus can buy him. I'm not sure we can get anyone good enough to fill his boots for what he would cost.

That all goes back to my original point that we'll just have to see what happens in the summer, thinking about it probably after the world cup. there are no guarantees. just need to wait and see init

I know I'd give my left nut for him to sign for us. Going on our last successful loanee's we maybe disappointed in not being able to get him permanently, depends on a lot of things. Will swans new manager be keen on him? Will we still be in the pl? Looking forward to seeing him in action again on Saturday!

I'd give both my knackers but I think Swansea will want loads of dosh.

Haha I think most of us would mate! They rate him at 6 mill & personally if I was Ellis I'd pay 8 without hesitation. Gus said he has suited his style so far out of all the squad, that quote give's me hope that he'll fight to sign the lad permanently.
