I sense that Rodgers will bring in some top class central midfielders in the summer. Where does that leave Hendo? For some reason, I think he could be converted to right back ...

Dodged a bullet there then. Just want we needed, a 34 year old midfielder to sit next to Gerrard and not move all game <ok>

Think it would have been a loan but there it is again, transfer committee or BR, whoever it is should have been looking at De Jong on loan not a ****ing ancient Seydou Keita on loan.

Keyta moved close 2 a move 2 LFC but when Valencia called he didn't think twice about it. So he said. Really? Why was LFC less interesting?

"When we received the call from Valencia, talks with Liverpool were at a very advanced stage," Keita said. "But then I told my agent we were going to Valencia. I did not doubt for a second. When I came to play at Mestalla with Sevilla or Barcelona I suffered a lot to win, because this is a really big club, with fantastic fans. That is why I opted to come here."

Keita, who also had offers from teams in Dubai, Qatar and Turkey, has signed an initial six-month deal at Valencia, with an option for another season, as he wanted to prove his fitness after 18 months away from top level club football.

"It is important that this is clear," he said. "I am coming here from China. To sign for a year and a half is a difficult thing for the club. I told them to relax, that I would sign for six months and if I have the right level we will all have time to continue. That is better for the club, and for everyone."

Shouldn't be going up to 15 mil then if so. We will also have Suso coming back and will want to see him get a chance too.

I really really want to see Suso succeed. I really hope he comes back and just bosses that left wing.

we'll see. he could play a lot of places. the world cup means it is likely he'll get a shot to show rodgers what he can dobefore the stars come back and likely before rodgers buys

like to see him rotate with coutinho, keep them both fresh for games and on their toes, as both have some nice skills.

see better than allen,Cissokho, kelly, coates, aspas, jones(ruddy wish!),johnson(?), we upgrade on them and get rid, we will have a nice looking squad i reckon.

that is probably the right rotation IMO too.

you are right.... if we buy then say lucas replaces allen, enrique replaces cissohko, johnson replaces kelly for a year, agger already replaces coates, suso replaces aspas, reina replaces jones ;) that kind of thing.

you got to buy a cm, an lb, an rb etc etc etc. buy to be first 11 only. buy the risks at age 20 once you have the squad and can absorb the risk... not look like you have egg on your face looking at your bench at 1-1 v west brom and ignoring your risk buys as options to come on for 20mins!

But the Reds expect to sign Yevhen Konoplyanka, 24, in the summer after missing out on the Ukraine winger on transfer deadline day.

Mhew, good footballers are good footballers, be they big or small.

I'd not say no to either a Viera or a Hazard on my team. Being inflexible in your approach gets you figured out...like Barca..and getting old and being reluctant to break it up and rebuild in time.

See no signs of that yet here since we have not built the winning team yet to be narrow minded with!

I'd say no as I think he'll be another downing and at 26, despite his recent resurrection this will be his last contract so will want Money.

If he does a downing then he's giving no more than Borini to us. with little resale value.

At least Borini can be sold if h es never needed back.

I'd say no... this is a very early return to form and the world cup is coming. read harry kewell. if he's suddenly bothered its all about the world cup.

He's got talent but i'd stay well away, I really think he'll be disinterested after the world cup again.
