So according to a few websites including BBC, Enterprise Insurance have issued the above for unpaid debts?

    Found it...

The turmoil surrounding Leeds United is continuing after the club's shirt sponsor filed a winding-up order against the Yorkshire giants due to an alleged unpaid debt.

Leeds are currently the subject of two takeover attempts, with Cagliari owner Massimo Cellino having agreed to buy 75% of the club, subject to Football League approval.

Another consortium, led by groups called Sports Capital and Together Leeds, are mounting a rival push to keep the club out of Cellino's hands. But in another development, Enterprise Insurance has filed a winding-up order, claiming an unpaid debt.

Lets just hope it is their way of negotiating a lower price or maybe superceeded by their joint bid

We need the Leeds consortium to all be pulling in the same direction, so does not make much sense.

So for the sake of clarity, and to all those who believed Haigh, GFH Capital and Flowers ..... all love the club, all want the fans to enjoy a great future ...... bollocks all, because at the end of the day Flowers has spit his dummy out and now wants the club wound up. And those that think its all a game of getting his negotiation stance in first, think again folks because once proceedings kick off .... This has always been about money for all concerned and haigh and the rest of his stupid lying twats have been found wanting, and now say fook you fans.

One of the worst weeks in our hisory and all the history over the last 10=years has been about picking the bones out of this once great club, and its greed and vanity that have brought us here.

When posters on a football board make more sense then the people that are running our club, you know we are in trouble. <laugh>

It makes perfect sense, he has outlaid £6million pounds of his cash as a loan and he wants it back if Cellino takes over. It works two ways he effectively bumps up the price Cello man has to pay and guarantees he gets his money back if his own bid fails. The £6mill is paying for Ross's new contract. If his bid succeeds he retracts the petition. This is a shrewd move and might be decisive.

Btw Cellino hasn't paid for the club. He lent them £1.5 mill working capital, no contracts have been signed.

Doc, you've hit the nail on its head when you talk about LUFC and vanity. A lot of Leeds fans believe we have a god given right to be playing Premier League and challenging for trophies, as we are the 6th biggest city in England / UK.

What a fooking joke!!! Italian lends the club £1.5m, Flowers lends the club £6m, Haigh lends the club £3.4m so that makes £10.9m the club owes now yet people are bidding £7m come on for fooks sake people ...... This club is fooked because i just emailed GFH and told them I had lent Haigh £2m and I want mine back too. Comedy isn't dead in Leeds but shrewd businessmen are at a premium which allowed a rich Italian to step in and fook you all up. I will clarify that position: Shrewd Leeds businessmen are keeping their cash under their beds whilst vane twats .....

Just in case some of you think this is funny or ajust a joke:

Leeds United's shirt sponsor Enterprise Insurance has filed a winding-up petition against the club over an alleged unpaid debt. The company's managing director Andrew Flowers was part of the Sport Capital consortium that had an attempt to take over the club collapse last week.

The case will be heard in the High Court in March. In 2012 the Gibraltar-based company lent Leeds £1.7m at 7% interest for repayment in 2015. The petition was filed on 29 January.

The move appears to be an attempt to thwart a takeover by controversial Italian Massimo Cellino. It is, however, a high risk strategy as costs could be awarded if the claim turns out not to be well founded.

For its part, the court could appoint an administrator. However, the case may well not reach court if a purchase of the club is agreed in the meantime.

Suppose it shows are expectations are generally higher then other clubs, which in turn puts pressure on the owners!!!

I think what might be happening is they gave GFH 6m towards the running costs of LUFC as part payment of them purchasing the club. i think but im not certain dont shoot me <yikes> that it means rather than a court ordering a winding up notice to be served it could insist that GFH have to now sell the club to them at the agreed original price,,,and that is what i think they are probably doing <ok>

but like i say im not 100%

No, and they are right to have such expectations.

Doc -I agree with you. People who supposedly have LUFC at heart because they are supporters of the club, bring a winding up order against the club because their bid was overshadowed by another - ****ing ****ers. They would prefer the club to disappear and **** over every fan of the club than be repaid what they are owed (which apparently isn't due until 2015).

I don't think they have a leg to stand on, I can understand why they are unhappy, but to try and take the club into extinction is definitely not the type of person I want in charge. This is like being blackmailed by Bates again at the administration
