Where is the love for the TMT? Golazo! Teach that finish to Alvaro Vazquez!
James Pearce ‏@Pearcesport 8m I'm told that Hoddle is abroad today, but is set to be interviewed for Swansea job before the weekend I'd take him. He's like a proven Garry Monk. TMT should release a statement at this point in time these rumours must be unsettling for the squad.
If the media speculation/leaks were true then ML had to go, I don't want to comment further on him at this point except thanks for the memories. But Paulo was a tw@t, as was/is Jackett.
Who Better than a legend of the club and a through and through proven Jack to take the reigns and try and fix the mess that laudrup has left behind....Monk has the makings of another martinez but we cant find that out until he is given that chance and because jinx is willing to give him that chance then that's good enough for me...Any reasonable fan would realize that we were only going one way under laudrup as his record of wins over the past season and a half tells you the reality of the situation, So is it not fair that the board was put into a difficult position on what to do in the best interest of the club. I and many many others have been calling for jinx to do something and finally he has. Its the right choice when you look at the facts as we could not keep on the way we were. One win and a good win too is not going to keep us up when the other 5,6,7,8 games are rubbish even though we had much better players in our squad.....Laudrup has never been a type of manager that fitted into our philosophy that previous managers built up and it was clear to me as far back as the middle of last season that he was not for us. I wish him well and hope he does well at his next club that may be more suited to his style of management...
Other than the very top names mentioned like Bielsa, Hoddle, Clement, etc we will not do worse under TMT's management. Garry Monk knows his stuff.
Jackett was a good manager but felt he took us a far as he could and didn't feel he had the backing of the board .
based on what , unproven & just completing his badges , based on that theory because you cleaned the bogs down the Vetch does that mean you could have been offered the post. we'll find out how good his man management & tactical nous are shortly, but please don't put him on a pedestal because as sure as eggs are eggs you'll be the first to knock him down
Garry Monk couldn't even organise his own back four when he played. He didn't undermine his previous managers because they selected him. As a journeyman of a player, he was nowhere near good enough for the Premier League and took umbrage when Laudrup CORRECTLY dumped him to 4th choice. Carries a grudge does our Garry.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26055993 Brendan Rodgers has backed his former club Swansea following the sacking of manager Michael Laudrup. Rodgers, who was the Swans' boss for two seasons before leaving to join Liverpool, says the club have a history of making "correct decisions". "It's always sad when a manager loses his job - and Michael has done an excellent job - but they feel they have had to make a change," he said. Laudrup was sacked on Tuesday after succeeding Rodgers in July 2012. The Dane was sacked on Tuesday following discussions with chairman Huw Jenkins and replaced on a temporary basis by club captain Gary Monk. "It's a real special football club," added Rodgers. "They've made the correct decisions over a decade to get from League Two to being an established Premier League team." The Northern Irishman added that Monk has managerial potential. "He was a wonderful captain for me - very loyal, very generous as a skipper - and I have got every confidence that, in time, he's going to be a manager," Rodgers told BBC Sport. "Gary is going to be a very good manager." Rodgers said the club is in good hands. "They've got people with a real passion and love for Swansea - and that's what they need," he said.
Garry Monk has been at Swansea for over 10 years and has helped us get from League 2 to the Premier League not exactly the definition of a journeyman. Sounds like you have a problem with TMT. Get behind the lads. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaO7ygY8Rno It's like someones just died ...
If it wasn't for Garry Monk (And Tatey) they might had kept Paulo at the club...No offence but he wasn't taking us up following season. Legend right there.
