I mentioned some months ago that your board were losing patience with Laudrup, there have been issues with the work ethic amongst the squad for a while in their eyes, I was (rightly I guess) ridiculed by SCFC regular posters but todays sacking confirms there was something there a while back.
Interesting thing is getting rid of him 4 days after the transfer window closed....

I have said he was not the right manager for us last season not this season. It was so obvious to a lot of us he was out of his depth and we have been proved right....It's the best all around solution and i said a few weeks back that Jinx wont take much more of his negative football and will sack him before the season ends...i was spot on..

Ah well, season over in my eyes, am furious that we sacked ML. I honestly can't see us surviving now.

We are 12th position in the Premier League!!!! This is a HUGE gamble.

Why change manager 3 days after the transfer window closes? This looks so amateur by our board.

I see this causing a big rift with our Spanish players, and let's face it we are f###ed without them.

Dont look at 12th place that means jack ****. look at 2points from a relegation place...that's the reality...

I find myself agreeing with Dai and DPJ - I never thought that would happen.

We have been ***** ever since the CC final. Here are some of my observations:
- Our structured game has gone out of the window.
- Players who should be in every game have been dropped way too often (e.g. Britton, Rangel)
- Some of our acquisitions have been shocking (e.g. Shekter and son-of-Shekter)
- The players have shown zero commitment (did you watch the West Ham game?)
- Our squad is too small (ML's directly responsible for that one)
- ML has shown almost contemptuous disinterest and zero motivational skills
- Our form since Wembley is bottom-of-the-table

I have no doubt that if ML had stayed we were certainties for relegation. At least now we have a chance to bang some heads together and get the players to show some commitment. We have been utter ***** for a year and that has to be ML's fault.

Wrong, our boys can get back to playing the way they know they can, and training can improve!............<ok>

You really think the likes of Michu, Bony, Pablo, and co are going to play their hearts out for Monk? I honestly cannot see it. Its like asking 11 fully qualified builders to work under a 20 year old newbie. It just aint going to work in my eyes. No matter how professional they are, I honestly can't see anything changing, if anything, I can only see it getting worse, I hope to god I am wrong, but I honestly cannot see it.

well if they don't and they really do want to move on after this, how is playing like a turd going to help their cause????
If they want out, they will have to demonstrate qualities to have clubs come knocking

I'm really surprised by the amount of negativity coming from some of our posters...I thought everyone would think this was a good decision. Things have not been right at our club for a long time. It has lacked passion, lacked professionalism, and lacked character. The influx of foreign players has not helped, but Laudrup is the guy who sets the tone.

watching some of our Laurdrup matches have been like watching the Sousa team.
We have put in the odd good performance here and there...But 50% of the time, we have played terribly.

Chuffed Monk is in!

With the amount of ambition shown by the board there is a risk Swansea might be joining the lower Leagues soon enough...

With the amount of determination, motivation and passion showed by Laudrup and his ability to manage the players etc, the same scenario could also be pointed out <ok>

Well a Swim and his impeccable source stated that the Spanish players had lost faith with him, so perhaps they will be glad for a change of direction. They are a passionate race normally so hopefully they will respond to someone stoking the fires!!

That's pretty much it, lets hope that Monk and Co, can unite the dressing room, and we can start playing our proper game again using our wide players to stretch teams, and making sure that Britton starts all of the remaing games, which I'm sure he will, Tatlor needs to be given a start at LB, and Ben needs a spell on the Bench, Dyer Needs to start every game too, and if Michu is fit he needs to start instead of Shelvey, Lets Rock and Roll Jacks!....................

If there is anybody to get the fire back in their bellies, Monk's the guy for the job <ok>

You want to get Di Canio in quick, you will smash your local rivals, win against teams you have not done for years and pull off some shock results while staying up at a canter.

Obviously you then have to sack him as soon as the whistle blows in the final game or you would be f**ked seeing as he is a total lunatic.

Your just lucky MON has a job or it could have been horrible for you.

In all seriousness its a bit of a strange one from an outsiders view point but its been obvious for a while something has not been right with ML and its been transmitted onto the pitch. I have no idea who is out there at the moment, think you will go foreign again or go for a Brit, for the life of me I can't think of a decent British manager who is available at the moment.

Roberto di matteo!
