I took my test in Shettleston, and my mate, who had no license followed me the full duration of the test, flashing lights etc. I had to do an emergency stop on Edinburgh road and one of my mates drive past with their arse hanging out the windows doing a moony.

Needless to say, the instructer was not too impressed and failed me. <laugh>
 
Mine involved driving a white Ford Bronco down Interstate 405 with my friend who was a former American Football player.

This was about 1994. I think
 
Passed first time after 6 lessons.

Never understood how some doofus can actually fail something as simple as a driving test.
