https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwSUlIv0XNc We love you, we love you, we love you And where you go we follow, we follow, we follow We support the saints, the saints, the saints And thats the way we like it, we like it, we like it wOOoooOOOooOOOOO WooOOOoooOOoooooo Repeat.... Yes we would be stealing it, but quite a few clubs use it. Thoughts? I put our anti-pompey chants down to the fact that we don,t have enough songs/chants to sing, so why can,t we use some others or make our own.
The Dale Cavese makes this song look like a lullaby.
Did I say there was a problem? No we shouldn't sing it. We should be original. But we won't. Where's the problem in that lot. Not mutually exclusive and not a hint of a problem. If you really want the crowd to sing it, get very drunk (optional but it'll help with self confidence) before our next home game and just sing it and keep singing it until people either join in or punch you into a bloody pulp. If people around you like it and can work out the words you're slurring, they'll join in and you will have started the crowd singing the song. It's very simple. Vin
It wasn't a rude question to be honest, I was bothering to ask why we shouldn't sing an unoriginal song even though you think we will never be original ourselves.
Cripes; I didn't say it was a rude question, either. You asked me what was the problem and I answered that there wasn't one. Vin
I guess this is the truth of it. I have always wondered how the funniest chants (as opposed to the songs) seem to come almost instantly as a riposte to the away fans or a mistake by their team. Does the Northam have an "order of service" given to them in the concourse? None of our songs is particularly good. Even OWTS dissolves into a mess when it speeds up and peters out within a fee seconds. I would rather we kept it going for 5 minutes slowly but that ain't going to happen. I do remember the effect of the Leeds fans, their side 3-0 down, who started singing, "we all love Leeds, we all love Leeds," going on for ages. It was impossible for us to get our own songs going and (I get confused between 2 very similar Leeds games) they either drew or won the game 4-3. I felt sure that they really were the 13th man that day. Our fans are probably about average and just need a decent song to sing. They won't find it on this forum though. I must have read 20 similar threads since coming on here but never has anything come of it.
We should sing Lff's song, to the tune of The Skids "The Saints are Coming" No one else in the world sings this.
I can remember a couple of occasions when Leeds did that. They're the only supporters I can think of who are often loudest when they're losing.
We should sing a song called "Oh when the Saints go marching in" And sing it all at the same time. at the same speed. Loudly.
