It seems that we have lost out on neymar and we face a tough task to get sanchez now, we dont have a manager though we are all to believe that guus will be appointed within two weeks. We need to get guus asap to concentrate on transfers or the way its going we will be getting lukaku and thats it! (and who is to say we will get him) If we are to seriously challenge next season we have to bring in some quality players(wingers, CM). Come on Roman please appoint a new manager quickly so we can focus on other aspects!
In my opinion there was only 3 world class forwards we could go for who were available Neymar looks like joining Madrid, Aguero is set for Juventus and that leaves Sanchez I would bid 30m today to jump the queue, we needed one of these 3 and to be honest im not entirely happy about potential interest in David Villa, we already know that Villa and Torres doesnt work Another thing bugging me = Pastore at 44m = WHY we even consider this is beyond, the guy is not world class, yet and isnt playing for a champions league club so his price should drop Im hoping that we get a very good winger in or even 2 if the 3 mentioned fail next set of wingers to look at would be = Hazard, Marin, Mata, Di Maria(due to Neymar going to Madrid), and Elia Chelsea need to get their finger out big time, reminds me of 07 i think when they failed to move and United signed Anderson, Nani and Hardgreaves and went on to do the double

I agree that we seriously need to pull our finger out. This summer is going to a frenetic one as a lot of the big clubs in England are restructuring their teams and it's also the last window before the financial fair play rules kick in. Man U and Liverpool are looking for new midfield players and Barca and Real will look to sign a couple of the top talents. Man city will also be in the bidding for players that they would have missed out on if they weren't in the champions league and there's even rumors that Arsenal are actually going to spend some money. There's only so many players of the quality we are looking for out there that are available and the longer we leave it the more that list will dwindle.
cant see you guys getting Villa but if you do, it is even more imperative that you get a creative midfielder in there to mix it up, i dont even think you need to make that many wholesale changes but a new striker, perhaps a couple of creative midfielders and a right back seems to be on the wish list? Villa, Modric and Van Der Wiel?
It makes me feel sick knowing other teams are building while we're still faffing about managerless! Roman needs to sign up Guus quick so he can start organising a team for next season. RB,CAM, and a RW. VDW, Modric and Sanchez are my pick. Pastore is just too overpriced, 44m is extortionate for a player whose had 1 decent season in a below par italian league. Sanchez is one of the best wingers around atm. I think i saw some opta stats on him earlier, only eto'o(94) completed more dribbles than him (93) and he won the most penalties.
Roman is willing to meet 30m for Neymar but I think Sanchez is the better option, Offer Udinese 30m maybe even offer Kalou plus cash so they have a replacement VDW, Modric, Sanchez and Turan with the 2 belgians would be great business

Agreed that I think Sanchez would be the better option but i'm not sure we need 6 new signings in addition to the 2 from Jan. I really think Sanchez and say Modric/Sniejder type would do us fine as long as we keep pushing the youth.
What are other teams actually doing though? Arsenal and Spurs are more concerned with keeping their existing talent, City haven't bought, Liverpool are over spending on average englishmen and united have signed a 4th choice centre back. What in that are you worried about???
I do think we need more than 2 as I have lost faith in Malouda, and Zhirkov is too injury prone , I hope De Bruyne is signed and loaned out, but hope with Carlo gone that Piazon doesn't get lost in the reshuffle If Alex goes then VDW would be essential and both would be brilliant I think we will get Modric if we up our bid to 27-28 Hopefully we nab Sanchez as Neymar looks unlikely now with Santos trying to start a bidding war and I hope we dont have to go for a creator who is overpriced(Aguero or Pastore) or under talented Lukaku is done and dusted just waiting for Guus and exams to finish Turan is a 50 50 Bosingwa, Malouda, Anelka, Zhirkov and Drogba out with maybe Kalou following
