Very true. And because we have so little to play for (almost certainly finishing between 8th and 10th) it's a good time to conserve our resources for the summer and just use the rest of the season to give the likes of Gallagher and Targett some action instead of moving them back down the pecking order.
Cheers. Assuming that money is there to invest in the squad, it should be an exciting Summer transfer window. Disappointed with Osvaldo, was hoping for so much more from him, but at least the club have acted decisively and swiftly. Who's left of the, for want of a better word, dead wood? Is it just Forte and Barnard now?
Barnard's gone to Southend. Just Forte! Not exactly "Johnno quick" when he's heading for the exit door.
Forte's contract ends this summer, not that it matters one way or the other. It must be an odd feeling for him on those occasions when he turns up at St. Mary's to get his latest loan assignment. Does he even have an employee mailbox with the club? When they do Secret Santa, does his name go in the pot? Do the other players even know who he is or do they think maybe he's just the IT guy?
