Assuming (and big assumption until it's a done deal) Piotr Pan is on his way to us, what's the bit of news you want to see tomorrow?
My view... in this order... is:

    1) Replacement for Stephens, someone who's actually going to create chances for the prolific Pole and Iranian World Cup Superstar (OK, maybe a little over the top)

2)... but a very close second... Kermit stays. I wish this was number 1... he's just class and a reason to watch Charlton just on his own, but for me the midfield is where we're weakest, I'm the first to rant at Church, but the number of chances created this year has been the real reason for our position.

3)... A winger. You remember them? They're the guys who are supposed to cross the ball.

    4)... Send Sordell home.

If we get 1 and 2, I'll go to sleep tomorrow a happy man. If we get 1 and 3, I'll drown my sorrows and play the Hartlepool goal on repeat, but reckon when I wake up I'll at least give us a fighting chance of staying up. If we get 1,2 and 3, I'm buying mussels, frites, a bottle of Leffe and turning on ITV3 all day.

I won't mention other options until tomorrow...

Sign on Kermit, replace Stephens, don't worry about Sordell unless we are paying his wages, then we can all chip in to send him back to Bolton

    1) Kermit on 2-year contract.

    2) Experienced solid RB on loan until end of season or one-year contract.

    3) Experienced hard-working LM on loan until end of season or one-year contract to give Holmes-Dennis time to come through.

    4) Get shot of as many as possible out of Osborne, Feely, Green, Jordan, Pritchard, Gower, Hughes, Jackson, Cook, Hollands and Cort, and the rest of them at the end of the season. (Maybe Munns and Azeez too? I don't know how they are coming along).

    5) Do NOT sign any wingers.

    6) Make Sordell train with the u14s to the end of the season.

Not too upset about Stephens. Never a real Charlton player, and I had written him off in my mind since the end of last season. Pity we did not sell him to Aston Villa. Let's hope RD is a better judge of opportunities than Arthur and Terry.

We really need a creative midfielder to replace Stephens as well, but I think I have already asked for too much. That is a big ask at short notice. Let's hope Adjarevic can rise to the occasion.

We seem to have strikers, so I'd like to see

    1. A couple of playmakers/wingers to set them up with opportunities galour.

    2. Yann to sign again,.

    3 A new goalkeeper.

why no wingers Eddie? Agree with your list in point 4, unless Cort can get fit.

    Same as many from me.....

    1) Sign Yann up

    2) Sign a creative midfielder to replace Stephens

    3) Sign a winger, possibly two if Powell's reluctance to trust both Green and Harriott is to continue

I also think it may be an idea (wherever possible) to make any additions today from domestic clubs. We have made many signings from abroad and given our league position we cannot afford to have too many more (if any) that have not experienced the general level of the championship.

I agree, a little bit of experience in there certainly wouldn't hurt, plus how many of these new signings are match ready..?

Just want Kermo to remain, and some rather significant out of left field surprise signing that gives us all a right big hard on !

Pixie Lott and Gemma Arterton between them? I'll have Cherie Lunghi as manager.

Surely Yann can just reject Bournemouth's terms and stay at Charlton?

It'd be a personal gamble from him but still.

    None of them.

That is not a flippant reply. Some of them may prove good signings in the longer run, bu if you mean "how many can perform to an at least average Championship standard immediately", I would say "none". I just posted this in another thread which gives my opinion on the matter:

I don't think it is fair to judge any of the new signings until next season when they have had a full pre-season with us. I realise that is not helpful in our present situation, but that situation is not their fault. Expecting instant miracles from them might easily destroy any value they do have.

It follows from this that I expect nothing much from the loanees except to demonstrate that they have enough promise to be worth signing permanently next season.

I admire Cort as much as anyone, but he is 34. We have Morrison, Devite and Wood, and Lennon, Feely, and Osborne in the u21s, with Gomez a couple of years off a first-team place. RD clearly wants to build his own and younger team (the Kermit departure proves that) so I think Cort will never get another chance. By the time he is match-fit the season will be over and he will be nearly 35.
