I dont post on here very much, but some of the comments and abuse were shocking.
At the end of the day this is a football forum.

I'm quite surprised in Bill and his threats of physical violence because of some words/actions on the Internet. He's a 62 year old man.

People will join another football forum and leave this one if stuff like this continues

Bloody hell! Just read it and can't really believe it all went on so long without everyone getting bored.

I don't really post enough to 'know' anyone on here but cor blimey, there are some people who take these sorts of things a bit far, on both sides of the footballing divide.

Fixtures out friday morning, anyone excited? I'm not, to be honest. I just hope we make some decent signings by then. Ha.

Thsi is why I left this forum for several months, after the first few weeks, it was literally a hate-fest between Mags and Mackems, justified under the blanket of "banter". Im sorry but calling people a bellend or telling them to **** off is not banter, which is what was going on at the time.

Thankfully things improved somewhat and I showed my face again.

Yet worrying signs again from both Sunderland & Newcastle fans of childish bickering, name calling, winding up and swearing for the sake of it. Invasions on each other boards trying to irritate and annoy each other.

It not only paints this entire forum as a bad place to be, but it paints a picture of North East football fans as incredibly tribal and aggressive people who are not good at all to get along with.

Agreed.Apart from your last sentence<ok>

When you get verbal assaults and witless name calling (Disguised as "banter") certain Newcastle fans who base every supposed footballing debate upon "5-1". Sunderland fans who fly off on one off any comment by a Newcastle fan that isn't showering our club with praise. Its incredibly childish and for an outsider looking in, it hardly shows us as rational football fans engaging in debate does it?

It's because people are bored with no results or signings to discuss, I reckon. Not an excuse for it, mind!

And YWGyan, I'd take Wolves at home to go for payback. Although would like Wigan if we sign N'Zogbia ;)

Absolutely correct, these boards are becoming like a school playground

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that has been thinking like this. It really pisses me off when someone comes on with a rather innocuous post and he gets slated just because he's a mag. So let's see a little more live and let live in future guys.

I never go on the scum board to comment, but there are so many scummers on this board I have to answer back in their lingo.

Mags are welcome if they talk sense, but as soon as I smell s h i t e I will respond, coz i hate the f*ckers.

Lol Bart

I agree with the general consensus of the thread.

I'm one who flies off the handle when wound up and am actively addressing the issue.

Let's all be chums. I can't help but thinking that if Shameless had a more prominent role on the board we'd all be bum chums.
