http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9120983/? A 16 year old French kid - we have apparently offered a four year contract! Where's our French spy - more info needed.
Another young footballer to benefit from Watford's help. If even Samba Diakite never played for the Hornets.
Although he is only 16 years old, he has played for the French National team at U17 and U19 level. Lens are a Ligue 2 club, championship level, but the standard is more like English league 2. Lens are very unhappy that he wants to leave, but claim that it just shows up "the impotence of French clubs against the financial omnipotence of the English clubs". He hasn't played for the first team at Lens and there is little about the juniors. Lens have been at the centre of several legal disputes with English clubs about players leaving without agreement about transfer fees, notably Chelsea. This could be another one the way that the club are talking.
Well I guess we don't want to get involved in another court case so I am sure the Pozzos will sort it out. This is what they usually do - look for young talent worldwide and develop them.
Not sure where to post this, but Josh McEachran just signed on loan by Wigan. He was pants for us so not sure what he'll do for Wigan.
Rumour has it that this guy is due to arrive here from Genoa on Friday.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dániel_Tőzsér Left footed defensive midfielder.
Pozzo furious as Udinese now in decline Having repeatedly said that the Udinese season 'would start in Janaury' Pozzo Sr has seen them lose four matches out of four in the league this month. The owner had a meeting with senior staff and players saying "You make me feel bad." They will now report to his son Gino (back from Milan where he has been overseeing transfer talks) as Gianpaolo takes a break from the day to day and leave this to Gino.... And the club is (rumoured to be) thinking about Trappatoni or Zola in the event of (coach) Guidolin resigning. Looks as if Gino will be a busy lad.
Bakambu vers l'Angleterre ?
Any inside news Frenchie? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cédric_Bakambu I note about a 1 in 4 strike rate....... he likes the 'lead' striker role ?
From Twitter Some big transfer news coming through involving Watford and Hull City... #WFC #HCAFC #HORNETS Danny Graham anyone?
Your sanity is safe - the rumour has been expanded upon. Abdoulaye Faye.... Not one that 'fits the mould' to my mind, and not overly inspiring...
Cedric Bakambu is playing for a team that are having a terrible season in the French 1st division. He has scored 6 goals in 17 games for them out of a total of 16 for the whole team in the 22 games played. The team has the worst defensive record in the league, which will not have helped him score goals. He scored 7 goals in 14 games for the -20 French national side in the 2010-11 season. Coach of the - 20 year team , Francis Smerecki , presents him as "a central striker who can play on one side provided we understand that in a hallway, you must work to move the buttocks" I have no idea whatsoever that means.
