Pete O'Rourke ‏@SkySportsPeteO Cardiff City goalkeeper Simon Moore is set to join Bristol City on loan until the end of the season
That will be a challenge for him. They must like our cast off kepers with Healey, Parish and now Moore. Although Moore is highly rated so the move gives him game time - and plenty of practice.
It might help to read in context...lol In my opinion Whitts might be in the midfield position but does not play as a midfielder. That is my opinion. jck
I thought we could offload Cornelius to the Wurzels just to send them down. Luckily some Danish part-timers are going to pay £4m quid for him. Moore is a good signing for them very highly rated and could be our no.1 next season as I can see Marshall sold if we go down.
He's been slow and lazy this season. The competition for his place and a new manager has solved a bit of the lazy issue. Last night was his best game for a good while but an opposition that had a 39yr old playing centre mid helped. Utd are different class everywhere except centre mid where they are quite frankly pathetic for a team with CL aspirations. My main issue is his refusal to pass the ****ing ball forward. The amount of times we lost all momentum because he showed for the pass (which is progress from earlier in the season) then turned and passed it to the centre backs took the piss. Yes he kept the ball, but by doing exactly what Utd wanted him to. The early quick passes between the lines are the ones that open up defences. You can go backwards and side to side all day without doing any damage. I will say it's one of the first times this season I'm not adamant he should be dropped after a match though as it was an improved performance. On a separate note I'm not overly happy that Ole has binned our inswinging corner from Witts. It's always been a weapon but all corners were deliberately swung out last night. I'd like to see a mix.
Not the view I got watching the game last night. He may not have got forward at pace, but as I said above, he put a lot of work in chasing back, especially into the right back channel, when tracking Young back, putting in a couple blocks on crosses from the bye line. I agree he needs more dynamism in attack, but would challenge the statement that he strolls about on last night's evidence.
What I am saying is he has a lot more to his game and we need to see it now, if he can play better why isn`t he. Can someone post the number of corners and free kicks he has taken since the start of the season and how many goals resulted? We cannot afford to waste all the chances he gets. jck
