One judge in Germany, I think it was, told a defendant who proved the holocaust didn't occur, "the truth is no defence, it's illegal to deny the holocaust in this country, whether it happened or not".

There was a serious court case going on,nobody had time for ****ing nature walks!
Folk on the far right are quite fond of this bullshit.
1) The judge's name was Dr Meinerzhagen
2) He did not say this to a defendant
3) He didn't even say this in open court
4) The only "evidence" (since you're really fond of that) that he said this at all was in a speech by a defence lawyer the judge had thrown out - the lawyer had admitted sharing the political views of the racist nutbag that was on trial and, therefore, was ruled as unfit to represent - the above quote was what she claimed the judge told her off record (Stolz - the person in question, was removed from the trial for her repeated political outbursts which were "with the sole goal of sabotaging the trial . . . and making it into a farce")
