Oli Kay from The Times is doing a webchat and is saying that LB and DM were priorities but the targets/deals just weren't there, and will look to get the right transfers done in the summer.

Kono was a target for the summer but he's available now and we thought why not.

Our attack is our strength - let's make it better.

I actually thought Gerrard looked good at DM last night, almost in a busquets way and even dropped back as stopper at times. I just worry that the occasion upped his performance. We will see in the coming weeks and games.

A fee of £14,84m (€18m) has apparently been agreed between Dnipro and #LFC for #Konoplyanka according to @fnn_ukraine

thanks <ok>

the thing about it is ayre was pictured with the bic pen after mkhitaryan. I dunno.... if hogan took over then how can ayre sitll be commenting and how can we be then critical of the salah affair.

who the f knows.

8. He definitely raised his game, he always does against Everton. I said earlier that he needs to do it again in the next game if he wants people to believe he can do it. WBA won't create the same desire as playing Everton.

9. I reckon that's about £0.34m too much :bandit:

Exactly, but there were some tactical things he did well and was breaking up play well, spraying the ball about pretty well too. When he is on, that man can just ****ing ping a ball across the park, a joy. <ok>

11. Maybe Ayre still has to sign the dotted line?

Can he be trusted with such a difficult task?

#3912
13. Was it tactics? Or was it pure determination that Everton would not get passed him?

14. We'll be alright so long as Hogan points out the dotted line to him <ok>

17. You seriously think Gerrard needed a confidence boost? He is almost 34 years old, if he's not confident by now then god help him!

Maybe, but being in the right places to disrupt, quickly breaking play up and starting a counter, gotta say that is a tasty little tidbit i picked up there, with Gerrards range of passing, he can certainly get the counter started quickly and accurately.

Was impressed with Sterling, Coutinho, and believe it or not Skrtel last night.

Maybe, maybe not.

20. If it was desire rather than following tactics then that IMO is better as it means he is able to do it instinctively, me just need to find out how to keep him motivated for every game <laugh>

Skrtel has been fantastic this season IMO. Its weird because I've been criticising him for a long time (as you know) but now most others are giving him stick and I'm standing up for him <laugh> Still annoys me with his rugby BS though.
