You seem to be very neatly avoiding basic and blatant facts... When Jason Scotland played in the Championship he scored more goals in that season than Bothroyd did this season. Take a look back the statistics, i'm not doubting Bothroyd is a good player but at no point has he been a prolific goal scorer, and that's a fact. With regards to the England cap... It was a very kind gesture of Fabio Capello to let Bothroyd play 35 minutes in a friendly. I'm sure I can hear Rooney, Carroll, Defoe, Bent, Crouch, Welbeck, Agbonlahor and the rest shaking in their boots. To finish, if the subject is "whether he would be good for you (Swans)" then the answer is no.
Better striker? Come on Scotland has scored more goals than him, had more assists than him, had more shots on goal than him, and done that as a loan striker up front, whilst you had two up front, and neither came close ! Let's face facts here, Scotland played football with the swans , Betty and others played hoofball that bored the crap out the supporters and half your stadium used to walk out if they were behind, your team of loanees and prima donnas bottled it again, our team of players didn't !
Also Jason was so good they decided to name a country after him, however I haven't heard of anywhere call Bothroyd/Bothroydia as yet. End of story.
