    <laugh> Aye righto.

Minumum of 9000, we invaded the home section, so way more but we'll never know how many. We sold more than our allocation. Why?

Hey, that remark about Mourinho taking a 'club the size of Orient' (who were already in the top division <doh>), was pure quality because after all, the Portugal league has a lot of massive clubs there..... What?.... There's not...

****ing ridiculous comment mate. Not a coach in the world could get a team to win the prem on our budget from our level. Throw money at it is all most Chelsea fans know. Tighten the financial ruling and iron out the loopholes and the ****ers won't be playing European football for the foreseeable future <laugh>

Except Chelsea would, far too big a club today to just deflate like that. It would affect clubs who have recently received big investment and haven't yet got that world wide sponsorship and fan base similar to ours.

I think your original comment is quite contradictory. You basically state (and I totally agree) that no team could win major honours on your budget (or smaller), which means every single team on these kind of budgets NEEDS significant investment in order to build and compete for major honours. You then criticise us for actually doing so, stating we 'bask in somebody elses riches'.... (which actually, every supporter does might I add, it's not your money!).

Like **** would you be moping around complaining if some arab royalty or russian oligarch came and flung Sunderland up to the top of the table with the rest of us up here.

I'm not contradicting my self because if all clubs made effort to run in the black it would be a more competitive ethical sport which is what I would like this sport to be.

We already have a multi billionaire owner, we're very lucky he hasn't choose to throw excess money at the club constantly then exploit loopholes to bend rules and further dirty our sport (More a dig at citih). He's determined to have us running in the black and debt free. Given the choice I'd choose the way my club is being run and sooner or later, all clubs will have to be run that way with no little loopholes.

But that's not what you said, you implied that some sort of governing body should implement financial restrictions which isn't the same as doing it off your own back.

You clearly are not very lucky as you've been relegation fodder for a number of seasons now and frankly look destined to go down this season (I hope you don't, as Sunderland are a big club and it'd be a shame to see you relegated). I also don't see what loopholes you've been talking about, you're clearly including Chelsea in this so I'd like to know what rules we've broken?

Football is full of corruption and money is at the fore front as the most important thing in the sport at the moment - this can be put into a nutshell just by looking at the decision to play the World Cup in Qatar.

He mocked us for lacking ambition, my point is any billionaire can throw money at a club to buy success. That's all I meant. Screw what you think I implied fella. You're reading far to much into tit for tat banter. <doh>

You can repeat it till you're blue in the face my friend, it was what you implied.

    Please explain how this:
    Isn't implying this:
Somewhere between that you said that you wanted clubs to take a page from your own owners book, that clubs should look to keep their club debt free themselves.

But it wasn't the main point is was making, it's perfectly acceptable for me to digress in my ideals. You're just trying to use it to steer me away from my main point for your own benefit <doh>

I wasn't talking to you. You interrupted. I'm waiting for CPofL to stop hiding behind you and to stop sticking his head to shout immature one liners before ducking back to safety

No I'm not, I was simply picking you up on your contradictory post which was aimed at the club I support.

And just what do you want to hear from me? Do you want me to say oh I am so jealous Sunderland reached the League Cup final, a final contested in recent years by the likes of Championship Cardiff and relegate B'ham? And it puts you on a par with the mighty Bradford City too <doh> You must be so very proud of that. Sunderland, as good as Bradford <cheers>
