Obviously he's a **** but I'd be happy to see Sheff W and U, Barnsley Bradford Leeds Boro all in the prem with us. Below us obviously. Easier to get to, cheaper and more rivalries. Cant see it happening for many a year mind.

Most of the country don't know we're in the East Riding. Those that have heard of the ER don't think of it as "proper" Yorkshire. Actually, Geordies and the like don't see us as being in the North East. Almost noone outside of the county could point to where we are on a map. There's an M25, Londonmediacentric conspiracy against us.

Anyone other than Green I'd have probably gone 'oh well another ignorant sod' but he's such an opinionated little bag of s**t that my blood pressure was on the rise even before he came out with that particular gem!!
What gets me about Green is that he is so quick to criticise others for not doing their job well (players, managers, refs) - but he does NOTHING about his own weaknesses as a commentator.
Any commentator worth their salt should make an effort to learn how to pronounce foreign names correctly, but he makes no effort to do so. The next time he criticises a player for, say, not working on his weaker foot, he should recognise that this is exactly what he has failed to address about his own shortcomings.

My point is valid though, there's a victim mentality we see time and time again, especially in regards to the media.
Seriously, the majority of the rest of the country don't know the stuff we insist they know. Even the stuff we're incredibly proud of. How can they not know this stuff seems to be the reaction. Much like people from every where knowing about everywhere else. You know what's on your doorstep, you learn more as/if you move around and for better or worse, Hull isn't a place you learn about, or go through. You either go to it for a reason, or you don't go there.
Plus of course, some "pundits" in the media are just ****. We even have Gwilym for ourselves.
i was looking in a "go yorkshire" booklet this morning while up in Richmond , Scunny and Grimsby were included in the voucher map , while Middlesboro wasn't .
