Well... if you consider Suarez has £75mill buyout clause (which will probably be offered this summer- and he will probably go if we don't get CL) - and Henderson in today's silly market is probably $25mill as good as he has been. If we sold them both- that would mean we made a profit from purchases made in the King Kenny era. Still- crazy what we spent on Downing, Carroll, Adam, etc... ... but Kenny and Comoli probably did make a profit for us!
when are most of our injuries back? was wondering if it was before window closes, so any we do get in would have to be an improvement on what we have in the first team any way. then again we should be looking at better players than Salah for £11 mill!!! any way to get top 4 finish. we need to buy quality not quantity, even though that sounds a stupid thing to say with a thin squad, quality shines through as proved that today
Also a good signing lifts all the players! Apparently we're announcing another sponsorship deal Monday, can it play in midfield? I know its important we have these deals but ****ing hell Very frustrating
Can ppl remember the thread that someone posted (cant rem who) on the journo saying we arent going to get anyone this window We were all saying he must have it wrong.......
Just to clarify we were saying the journo must have it wrong, not thread creator, it was like a live twitter q thing with this journo. RHC''s always said his mate didnt know so far this wndow Think the thread mightve been by JK actually
Maybe but I think RHC came on one day and said it looks like a sell to buy or closed type of window. No CM, no fourth, pretty much that simple for me. If we do get fourth, massive credit to Rodgers for rotating right, selections, tactics, etc to get the best out of this group.
I remember those dark days of signing a new sponsor and hour. Your time will come. Just pick a smaller, weaker club and take their best players. Arsenal are always a good bet
Unless we buy some quality for the centre of the park, we're relying on Rogers' tactical ability to get us top 4. Unfortunately, and as much as I like BR, he's too tactically naive right now to compensate for a weak part of the team like Fergie managed to do. He'll get better, he's got great potential as a manager, but he needs backing now. This is our best chance to break back into the top 4 - the owners have to believe that. I fear that the top four this season will remain the top 4 for the next few more at least...
