Here we go again, we'll go up to £7.5 million, then Chelsea or Spurs will come in with a £10mil bid. Our transfer policy is admirable, but naive, and considering we are competing with the best (and richest clubs), downright stupid.
Do we really want a player who managed to run himself over with his own car, breaking his ankle in the process. He has also broken his leg in two places before. Seems like an accident waiting to happen.
Yeah! Another Brazilian DM with a dodgy knee. Lucas and the Romulan can sit on the bench speaking Klingon together telling each other about their injuries! In more seriousness; decent prospect as long as he can stay healthy.
so this rumour is another red herring then, if we wanted to sign players who had dodgy injuries but could be world class, surely we would have taken a chance on papa of all people.
Barcelona have confirmed that Neymar's parents got £34m of the £48.6m paid for the Brazil striker in June. The 21-year-old's former club Santos received the other £14.6m. Santos got truly screwed over in that deal then
Despicable little rat that Neymar. Imagine if every player/agent/family started demanding tens of millions under the table.
This!!! If he could get over his injury problems he'd be the perfect partner for Sakho. Downside would be that we have three loans which would be a massive impact come the summer. although, having said that, I'm not sure we'd notice Moses or Cissokho leaving Yes, its immoral and shouldn't be allowed to happen but if Barca was willing to pay the 48m then why would they give a **** where the money went? I'd love to have him at Liverpool and I can honestly say I couldn't give a **** if he become rich from the deal so long as we didn't spend more than we wanted to.
Its the third party ownerships and player sell on percentages in Brazil. They're a ****ing scam. Remember the Tevez and Masca to West Ham scandal. The clubs there don't stand a chance.
Say Liverpool approached Santos at the same time as Barca, and offered Santos more than Barca, but unlike Barca refused to pay Neymar's dad. Neymar would be laughing in Ayre's face rubbing his thumb against his fingers in the international sign for 'where the dough?'
Not sure you approach Santos at all. Its third party ownership bollox isn't it? In which case, you speak to the agent/third party owner and they broker the deal. As I said though, if Liverpool were prepared to pay 48m for Neymar, I wouldn't give much of a **** where the money went. I would care if we only wanted to pay 30m and had to pay extra for agents etc.
