Noel Fehily is now on 99 after BATTLE BORN's success today. I know that Charlie Longsdon is really keen to leg him up on his landmark winner but that may prove elusive as I like Noel's ride in the first at Doncaster for the in form Tony Carroll. EASYDOESIT 10-1 Doncaster 1:10 is tip top fit from the flat and has a great chance off a hurdles career low mark today. Fehily had ridden him a handful of times in the past and he has always gone well for him. The yard usually punt their fancies but there is no move for this one yet, we shall see what develops. Over at Huntingdon I rather like the look of DAWN TWISTER 12-1 2:55. I have always liked this good looking son of Monsun and he has run a lot of good races in decent handicaps. He doesn't have a great win to run ratio but is a real trier. First time cheekpieces might just eke out enough improvement for him to get his head in front here.
I have a real quandary tomorrow as I really love Hawkeyethenoo and know that were tomorrows race on a straight course he would beat that field by 5 lengths and at a price of 3-1 am sorely tempted. Having watched him on the all weather recently I am convinced however that it does not suit him for a good reason. It's my feeling that he is a horse that needs to pick up to full flight rather than possessing an instant turn of foot and that the short straight encounters at Lingfield are simply not for him as the post comes half a furlong too soon for him. I feel connections have recognised that he is finishing late and stepped him up to 7f which may help but sadly it does not make the straight any longer. I think I will back him as he is a class above those horses and hope that will compensate for the track not suiting but fear I may be throwing money away.
I looked at the race because it is a bonus race Bluesky. Hawkeye has never won over this specialist distance and there are some fair AW handicappers in here!

Morning all I am new to this so please bear with me! Smalljohn 5.30 Wolves 10 into 5's 7 times C/D winner scrapes into this Class 6 (0-65) off top weight as has recently been dropped a generous 3lbs to a career low mark of 65, also has the excellent boy Chaloner taking off another 3lbs, has winning form off 74. Beaten less than 2L over C/D in Nov 2013 Class 4 (0-77) he will make the running and take some catching in this class. Looks like a bet to nothing E/W. Good Luck!
A change can be as good as a rest. How many have been off for a long time and have links to Barney Curley?
After looking through them the main one that I think has a great chance is: Timjoe Thomas Cleary From Terence O'Brien 21:15 Dundalk (A.W) 7/1 Benn running very well and switched yards after R P Cleary rode him last time out, interesting????
Anyone else off racing this weekend? Can't wait to see the special one at Cheltenham tomorrow, really looking forward to his return.
Neither is Meadowcroft Boy. Come back to us when Faugheen has done as much as Big Bucks has in the sport.
Cant wait! It is a mouth watering weekend of racing. I just hope he is as good as he was. But Im sure he will be! WIll be interesting to see him go up alongside Ruby then just obliterate passed him!
Ahhh thats shame!!! I thought they had moved the mares hurdle to an earlier time so he could ride in both!
