For those newbies, or people who didn't frequent CI before it became ****. Cross board banter was the norm, Essex Gull was one of the 'slightly better' than **** banter merchants, hence the intrigue. But I'm not convinced he's the original as the banter is a bit sub Gull standard.

I really wish they'd all **** off to General Chat tbh, that is pretty much an exact replica of CI except of course they wouldn't be the only ****wits in the playground, and they don't much like competition in that area.
