Hail hail bhoys. Been watching Charlton for the best part of 30 years since moving from Ayrshire. Just wondered who Neil was watching last night at our game with Oxford. He left when Yann Kermorgant, our best forward, was subbed but Yann is 32. Great player and he would be cheap but can't see him being a Celtic target. Any ideas? Cheers.
A very promising 18 year old holding midfielder (Cousins), a good creative mid fielder who us about 24 I think (Stephens) and a cracking left back (Wiggins) who was suspended last night. The rest are not up to SPL standard never mind champions league. Kermorgant is terrific but as I say is 32.
All positions we are looking at improving to be honest. He has said he wants a more uk core to the team. Hope he werent there to watch Dave Kitson from Oxford!!
The last lad we got from Charlton was Zhi. Won a penalty at Ibrox in one of his very few games for us. He played well that day as I recall.
Zhi flattered to deceive for us. Had it all but rarely showed it. Had to sell him after we got relegated and had to start cutting the wage bill (unlike some other teams I could mention!)
I read a report just now that reckons Celtic were looking at that striker you mentioned above - the 32 year old. And also maybe some Defender Morrison who is out of contract in the summer? Is he any good?
Morrison is a good honest centre half. Played very well when we won league 1 but got a bit flaky last year and this in the championship. Not convinced he is at Celtic's level. Not as good as Wilson who you sold back to Forest. Would be cheap though. Out of contract at end of this season.
