If we get Salah were getting a player who plays in the Champions League (and does well) for us, can only be positive. When was the last player to leave Champions League football and play regular football for the team? Suarez?
Sakho on a perm. Cissokho on loan We also got Toure, Coutinho and Sturridge since Suarez, plus Moses on loan
Only Suarez was a regular in the team. Sakho left for playing time, Cissokho left because the team doesn't want him. Sturridge left for playing time. Coutinho left for playing time and Moses left because he isn't wanted. Only answer is Suarez still.
Fair enough, thought by "play regular football for the team" you meant they left the CL because they wanted to play
@LucasLeiva87: I would like to let you know that my injury isn't serious and I will be back in a few weeks. Thanks #relieved #thedreamstillalive Woo
So Chelsea accept the Mata bid. Mata Ozil Eriksen Three players that will instantly improve us, may not be able attract all three players but would have liked to have tried to go for at least Eriksen (definitely for the £12m Spurs got him for) and we should have tested the water with Mata.
Didn't say we should have bid £37m for him but should have put in an offer around the £25m mark. Players of Mata's quality don't come around often.
If we had the money to spare, i would be quite happy with with £40 mill on \mata. If you look at our team who is better?
Totally agree. In fact (given todays market prices) it's madness that we aren't bidding for him IMO even at £37 mill. Not only would he suit our game perfectly but also he's Prem proven and not even at his peak yet. Plus it'd really **** the mancs off Worth every penny. Mata or Aspas? Dave if I offered you Mata for let's say £22 mill would you then say he's worth it? So we could flog Borini and Aspas for 10 and 5 respectively (certainly possible) and then you get Mata for £37 mill and have a total spend of £22 mill
