Has just sent me a pm to say GOODBYE ?? It seem's Ric is sick and tired of getting shot down every time he posts.

I'm not judging every one but WE are ALL entitled to OUR OWN views and oppinions good or bad.

Believe me, Ric may not be the same age/era as some of us but he's just as passionate. IF he leaves SO DO I lads.

Potts I'm sorry mate but you and Ricc were up there as 2 of my most respected posters. You as I felt like we had something in common same era etc. and Ricc for his say it as it is attitude. But after how Ricc addressed me on certain threads for just having an opinion on how I saw things I lost all respect for him as a poster and fellow potter.

Never once did I abuse him even after I was on the receiving end of some pretty bad insults, so I'm sorry mate if Ricc choses to leave (again), I for one will not be shedding any tears mate! In saying that I will miss yourself as a top contributor!

C'est la vie!

You may have noticed I have not posted as often as I used to either. TBH I have not seen nor read anything that Ric has said to any other Stoke fan apart from SIS, which I admit was OTT.
And you know what's so weird, I am Re-reading Sir Stans autobiography right now. Brings a tear to the eye mate and also made me ask the question.
What Waddo would have achieved in today's market the guy was a genius. And a little ironic that it's 20yrs today since he passed away..
 
Potts that's what frustrates me so badly about watching us at the moment. I remember when we were brillinat and real exciting to watch. even in league 2 under Macari with Steino we were exciting to watch. I get real wound up when certain Stoke players without naming names pull on the red and white and you know it's just purely for the money without any form of passion at all.
I purchased a season ticket again as per at the beginning of the season, (early bird), when everybody else was boycotting Stoke to get rid of Pulis, so to have your loyalty questioned really does irk me.

I tried posting on the Oatcake but that was way too mad and always felt like this board was more of a mates club.


Life's too short and stressful mate to be at outs with one another!
 
I wasn't aiming my thread comment at you Waddo, just a (few) on this board including Queenslander the stupid ill informed comments are not wanted by me so I'll let things lie, see what happens Waddo.

You are right of course, life's too short to argue when we all support Stoke <cheers> Waddo and keep on posting...
 
Totally agree mate. Even though I wasn't posting I still popped in and read the threads as I'm sure Ricc will.

Pleased to see Old Nick back as well, another of my favourite posters <ok>

However I am not going to defend my comments to ricc.

His behaviour and posts on here have been intemperate and abusive to say the least. I pointed this out to him very gently...and well, you know his response.

Not very clever was it?. He may learn one day that if you want to play with grown ups, then don't throw your toys out of the pram one someone challenges you in less abusuve terms than you have been regularly using.

You don't see much of SIS any more and Waddo has been AWOL.

So be it...I am sure that ricc can find a telephone box and start an argument by himself.


Now, about that SKY money.

I have PM'd him so we will see.

The only thing I will say is that it is very easy for the tone to get lost in the text when using an open forum board and I think we are all guilty of jumping overboard sometimes. For me I think posters should be abale to fall out and love and make up on their own accord and I dont like MODS or other users ganging up on any user per say. I like your point Waddo that over the last couple of years we had developed a relationship whereby we all knew each others tone and could have a laugh yet let it ride when tensions rose.
 
Well for myself I think i've tried to tread the middle ground and not posted if I felt the red mist decending, the boards have been frustrating for a while and I think we have been in need of more humour.

Fair play for the last but one post, we're too old and too wise I think? to fall out especially on what in the past has been a great board. Which is Stoke City F.C.
My personal opinion of Ric is ( AND PLEASE DON'T TAKE THIS AS AN INSULT RIC, IF YOU READ THIS)

Is that he is younger than most on here and may not/ know any other way of putting his feelings across. Apart from Cris I think? they are the only 2 on here who attend every away game? Hence having seen our games/our style of play, attitude and so on. He's is probably in the best position to comment. Which he does for the most part very well. He also come across as a very passionate lad and I have no problem with that at all.

As they say if we all agreed all of the time, it would be bloody boring on here. I propose that for now.

WE ALL AGREE TO DISAGREE, and can we start over? And for the millionth time can we all K.T.F Pott's

(Edit) Ric, no OFFENCE meant but to swear at a fellow Stokie is not right my friend. Swearing at ARSENAL fans is fine by me though.

Because i dont go to Stoke Games? I still watch them.
Or just because they are not what you agree with.
If you dont agree with my comments, then say so and put forwad your case/ reason or what ever; but dont acuse me of being stupid or ill informed !thanks.

Seems to me that you just lost Ricc because of exactly this type of post from you.

I have tried to be curteous & when its been mentioned that I may have unintentionally offended someone, I have always appologised.

I read your board most days due to time diffrence, and have taken on board your mods comments about the timing of any posts I make. Regardless of whether you win, lose or draw I dont post on your board until a couple of days later, purely out of respect for your supporters and mods. i understand the frustation of any loss (believe meI'm QPR!) and wait until things quieten down before posting on any subject.

I think you may need to look closer to home mate. I am not and never was any threat to your board.

Maybe cross forum boards are not for you ?
