It seems the FA are thinking of a name change for their own competition. Interesting.

The Budweiser FA Cup? Please stop
Bringing us the FA Cup in association with Budweiser has proved as appealing as a flat half-pint.
Nobody beyond broadcasters mentions the sponsorship link and most football fans would not even know the identity of the FAâs partner. Now renaming the competition in its entirety is being discussed: the Budweiser FA Cup. Please stop.
It will always be the FA Cup or, to most of us, just the Cup. The only way a sponsor would get value for money is if the FA removed itself from the name, meaning teams would compete for a miserable nonentity: the Budweiser Cup.
A truly radical idea would be for the FA to accept that some family silver is simply too valuable to be sold but that ship appears to have sailed.
