Love the fact you're all inside her head now! No one knows the first thing about her intentions, or how compassionate she is. Didn't Williams help oversee the Venky's takeover at Blackburn before bowing out? (edit - seen that was already mentioned: but I'd add that just because he wasn't there to exclusively oversee the sale, doesn't mean he isn't attractive because of his sale experience). I like the potential appointment, though, from what I hear about the guy.

He was there for 13 years, so if he was there to exclusively oversee the sale he did an absolutely terrible job <laugh>

He warned the Walkers about Venkys so he's not a bad judge. He's had a successful and varied career as well, studying science and working for Granada and being chief exec of a hotel chain, before going to Blackburn. And he looks like my friend's husband and he's a nice guy, so that settles it.

Blackmore reporting story from the Liebherr/staff meeting: "no plans to sell, sticking to path we're on, chief exec decision soon"

Sounds pretty good to me.

If he hires Sam Allardyce, I'm out.

I was going to say something about this too. I remember Blackburn fans turning on fat Sam really badly. I knew a Blackburn st holder at the time and he said there was a lot of negativity about him (fat Sam that is- Sound familiar?)

Let's hope he doesn't get too involved in recruiting our next manager if and when Poch leaves!

I think the one issue that people may have is that he may not have the ambition or drive that Nicola had. However, after KL's comments to staff today, it is clear she wants to keep us going in the same direction. John Williams, although older now, has been working with Manchester City, one of the fasting growing clubs in recent years (although I know it's mainly due to their rich owner), so my point is he will understand what it is likely working within a club with great ambition, and striving to be one of the best in England and Europe.

John Williams, seems an absolutely ideal appointment to me.

Let's hope Sam is embedded at Barcelona or Real by the time we are next looking for a manager. <laugh>

Guy on SaintsWeb claiming to have info from someone in today's meeting says...

"3 guys will be running the club. Still Liebherr owned. Not sure what their exact positions and titles will be. One is a member of coaching staff for a certain team in this years winter Olympics. That's all your getting until officially announced."

Would suggest a five man board overseeing club affairs, consisting of Williams, Reed, McGlinchey + 2 others?

Each with their own agenda ?

Or each pulling in the same direction ?
