Could be worse Basil Fawlty could be the manager and Manuel as the main striker!

"He`s from Barcelona"... "unfortunately not the football team though."

I thought you already had Manuel on board - have you ever seen them in the same room - Que?

Same old Jack rubbish I see exile, think you need to worry about Swansea and leave us to worry about Cardiff.

Hope Arsenal have a brilliant game next.

I must agree with jck200, Malky has been the weakest link this season, if not his tactics, his buys or his team sheets this whole season has found him out, a average championship manager will struggle in the prem unless he has a few billions to spend.

    EDIT

By the way, I can't see Malky if / when he gets a new club kicking down the door to sign Cornelius.

An average championship manager who got us up as pretty much runaway champions and who tools us to penalties against Liverpool at Wmbley. Yeah... right... average championship manager - of course, what was I thinking.

He made mistakes, sure, I'm not sure how many other managers have had the owner spending millions of players like Velikonja who Malky didn't even want. I think he had to go because the relationship had broken down and the place was turning to poison, but to mark him down as an average championship manager... Really? Would you like to rephrase that?

I would also put MM as an average championship manager. He spent millions and there are lots of his signings that have been absolute crap. I will only have very fond memories of our promotion, will not have fond memories of MM as his style of football is abysmal to say the least.

Not sure about average or about the millions. West Ham spent £5M on one player while in the championship and then needed the playoffs to go up.

As others have said, made mistakes, made poor signings and was stubborn (hmm, that could describe many managers, including Wenger and SAF) probably better than average though.

The fickle brigade are really starting to embarrass themselves now with their comments. Dai you are starting to sound more and more like another Dai we all know.

If you were on this board regularly you would see that there were any number of us over here that didnt like MM and particularly his style of football. Now jog on you oaf.

I have been on the board often enough to know when people are ungrateful to a manager who got them to the Premiership. Just who the **** do you think you are telling me to jog on? Vincent Tan?

I don't think anyone would describe Steve Bruce as a top manager and he achieved everything MM did and more on half the budget.

MM did some great things for us, he is a manager with real potential but I believe he has come out of this Tan debacle with higher stock than his actual on field performance deserves.

I expect him to go to either a top championship club or one scrapping to avoid relegation once the contract/pay off is sorted.

If not, there'd always be a career in politics for him.

Can't accuse Ronny of being fickle. He didn't like MM's style when we were winning.

I stood up for him based on results. When the results fall away and you play negative football there is very little left to defend.

The more you see of Cornelius, Odem and the invisible man Brayford it's very difficult to stand up for his transfer policy. Whether Ole will do any better is yet to be seen!

Just my opinion ITIWRAN, take it or leave it, I don't care either way.

Malky done well in his 1st season, got us promoted in his second can't take that from him but at what cost ? There was already signs of favouritism, some of our better players left to rot, when his job was on the line I did not see our players jumping to his aide and I cant say they were playing for the manager either.

Did you see how many players we lost when we went down? I don't think selling Scotty Parker and buying Nolan is an improvement.

Hate hearing Parker called "Scotty" - sounds like someone's terrier.

I point I'm making is WH spent more than we did and still didn't win the league like MM did for us. We didn't start with the players you had either. Does that make MM a better manager than Fat Sam?

Calm down guys, we're all on the same side as far as I can remember. Some liked MM, some didn't but he probably took us as far as he could have and we had many more good times than bad while he was in charge. He was in an impossible position in the end and either he went or VT went and that was ever only going to end one way. He's gone now & we need to get behind the team together rather than argue amongst ourselves.
