I get the feeling that Koren himself knows it's time to move on. Great player on his day...

23 starts and 7 sub appearances in 2013. (5 goals.) Not exactly a hectic year, but still more than "hardly being on the pitch".

Its time for him to go. He was a great signing for the club and did a fantastic job.

Probably the right time for Robbie and the club to part company.I am sure that Brucie will give us a chance to show our appreciation if he does leave,a cameo appearance for the final quarter of an hour of his last game would be good.

Just a thought , a loudmouth who sits near me keeps up a constant stream of abuse towards Robbie his favourite being "You're ******* rubbish!", bellowed at the top of his voice. To be fair to him all our players get abuse, all our lads are rubbish and all the opposition players are fantastic.I think it would be a good idea if it could be arranged so that all the people who constantly moan and abuse our players could sit together, ideally somewhere near S****horpe. We probably all at some time have a moan about individual players but the place to do it is the pub. or on here not at the KC, we should ALL give the team our full support when a game is on.

Reading the above back it comes over as a bit of a rant but it really pigs me off that some attendees at the Circle don't seem to understand what "support" means. Before anyone comes up with chestnut "they pay their money they can do what they want" not if they ruin it for other people thy can't.

I personally think if he ends the season with us and then moves in the summer both teams can be happy with how things turned out. For a free transfer he was a great signing, none of us honestly thought he would come to us at the time he did. If he goes he goes as someone who has done a huge amount to drag our club from when it was a huge downward spiral.

Nothing to offer? Wasn't he our top scorer last year?

Personally, whilst I don't think he's up to PL standard anymore, I think he deserved another chance to play in the PL with us.

Was at his debut for us against Milwall and in that game he showed he was a class above the rest of the team, and from that moment on has helped turn us around in a way that only NP could also be credited for. The ****e we were in when relegated was hugely worrying, and them two came in and really transformed the club into what it is now.

Being top scorer doesn't make you an amazing player. Fryatt was our top scorer season before and isn't really that good. Geovanni was our top scorer in the prem but was very ineffective for a lot of the time he was on the pitch.

Robbie Koren has done some wonderful things for this club.

My two abiding memories will be the last gasp winners he snatched against Watford (3-2) and Leicester (2-1) back in the Championship, to win both games.

He caused mass exhilaration with those moments, pure joy, so much so that the Watford delirium caused be to lose my house keys. They flew somewhere, only to be retrieved by KC staff, with me trudging along to collect a few days later.

It might be the right time to go, but he was a constant for us through a time of large transition.

When Pearson brought Leicester for the first time and Roko scored the late screamer I loved him.
Seems strange though that during the Jan window Bruce puts Fryatt & Roko on, sticking them in the spotlight maybe.

Where did I say he was amazing? I just think he was good Championship player and deserved another crack at the PL.

He stepped up and grabbed some vital goals for us last year when others didn't and without him, who knows, we may still be playing Championship football.

Bit far to say that without Koren we'd be in the championship...

In regardd to having another crack at the prem he just isn't good enough. He's not better than anyone that makes our first 18, think you're being too sentimental as he scored a few goals

Not saying we definitely would be in the Championship, but he still got us the goals when no one else looked like they would (Huddersfield at home, Derby and Ipswich away spring to mind as vital goals he scored). Also, at the beginning of this season, he was one of very few players to have previous PL experience from the promotion squad.

Im not being sentimental to him at all but to say he "should have gone ages ago" would suggest you think we didn't need him in our promotion season, and he was vital part to our promotion in my opinion.

I still think Koren has something to offer as a squad player - he can play midfield and the supporting striker role, and there are still quite a few players left at the club I'd be looking to shift before Koren.

He came in to the starting 11 against Fulham and scored more in 1 game than Danny Graham has in all his chances this season.

Koren might not be up to unlocking the defences of Chelsea and Arsenal etc anymore, but he can certainly still offer us something against the likes of Fulham, Palace, Norwich etc...

I thought he did ok last year, when he played upfront for us in a make shift front line.

To be fair, he scored some important goals. He's not that sort of player who'll run around and harass opposition players, but he knew where to be, and how to score goals.

He was a a decent signing, that perked people up after a demoralising season, the year before, and a summer of clear outs and wage cutting. He delivered a healthy number of goals- even when he wasn't at his best.

Little PL experience? Besides Figgy, Rosenior, Meyler, Elmo, Davies, Faye, Quinn, Thudd and Livermore? Had plenty of PL experience besides Koren. Personally hope he goes. He's a bit part player who doesn't have a lot to offer us anymore.

From the beginning of the promotion season, you know when he renewed his contract, we only had Rosenior, Faye and Quinn with PL experience and he was a key player for us the previous 2 seasons.

Like I've said earlier in this thread, I think now is the right time for him to move on as its best for both parties. But I think it was wrong to say we should have got rid of him a long time ago as he's been an important player in that time.
