We have 3 games before Feb and most certainly some more players in, Dont expect anything from the Manchester trips but time to work on our style of play.
It's the fact I expect nothing from the next 2 that makes me think Feb will almost decide our season. 3 or more good results and we'll have a momentum to carry us through. If we come out of feb in the bottom 3 though..... I'd be very scared we'd have already left too many points behind.
Feb will most definitely decide our season. I hope we have the players to give us the momentum and wins, Ole may be bringing in ex Man Utd reserves but he is best placed to see and know the players.
Its all hands to the deck now after today...we know we had our chance to beat those around us and failed. Still I cannot write off getting points from the next two games as if they were already lost, the team certainly seem to play better against top opposition in the main. Expect the worse but hope for the best. Thing is if we could take the Palace and West Ham games as the next two we would think we had a good chance at maximum points but as we saw we got nil so perhaps these two games will surprise us. jck
Saw reasons to be encouraged in the second half yesterday. Quite a bit of attacking play, attempts on goal, Eirkrem with a few nice bits of play and Bellamy looking lean and fit. Word is that Zaha will be with us in the next few days and with a few more training sessions under our belt we can hope for more to come. It's going to be tight, but I think we could still stay up. The bottom half of the table is getting very congested.
I think Cardiff fans are to worried about on the pitch problems , there is no way your going down . Off the pitch activities are a bit worrisome .If you can stay up this season I think youll be staying up for a while , if Tan doesnt overwhelm the place with foolishness. Good luck
Swan, side issues apart this is all about what happens on the pitch. The media need stories because that is their interest but to fans it is getting results on the pitch which has now become a matter of concern. Things have calmed down and Ole has the job to get us the wins we need and we are right behind him and the players. jck
Well I think if you can stay up , a lot of what the " Baby faced assaisin " can do to help Cardiff will come in the summer , if Tan can just keep his nose in fianace.and out ofon pitch activities.
If you don't score goals you won't stay up and the strikers Malkay bought aren't upto the job, which is why he got fired. Tan isn't interfering in first team affairs, he's fired the manager who spent the money bought the players and chose the tactics which have left you at the bottom of the EPL.
A unfortunate amount of injuries is the main reason, yesterday was the strongest line-up we've had for a couple of months, and only 5, at most, of those players are in the first XI. All our CB's were out, our 2 decent strikers, things were so bad we had to resign an unfit Cole and then a mediocre championship Johnson just to fill holes. The reason G&S are standing buy Allardyce is because they know the cause for out precarious league position is injuries, in a month most will be back and fit and we'll have a back-ups for the back-ups, you're problem is half your first team players aren't really even good enough to be back-ups at this level, and that's Mackay's legacy oh, and btw I thought the Cardiff fans showed a lot of class whilst Demel was on the ground injured and when he finally got stretchered off, so kudos for that.
Contrary to popular opinion we do know how to behave Miggs. I quite liked the irony of West Ham fans, from the east of London of all places, singing "Cardiff's a sh!t hole, I want to go home". Lol!!!
