For Hughton still being here at the club, we all moan that Hughton has not been sacked yet.
But if we are all in agreement that he should have been gone along time ago - then why has there been no out chants towards Hughton, loud enough for the board to hear.
I think its about time we the fans start telling the board what we really think (not just on these boards) but at the grounds - starting on Tuesday at Fulham.
If we really want to stay up in the Premier League then something has to be done sooner rather than later.

Firstly I think it´s right to point out that we´re not ALL in agreement that he should go, nor do we ALL moan about him still being here. I´m sure if there was that much feeling against him at the games, and amongst the paying fans, then they would soon start chanting abuse at him, and letting him know he should go. Perhaps the fact that there hasn´t been much of it yet, is a sign that the majority still believe in him and what he´s trying to do. Also I hardly think that a few chants of ´Hughton Out´will make any difference to how McNally views the situation, but naturally we´re all entitled to our own opinions, personally I think that any anti-Hughton tirades will only do harm to our chances of surviving.

I trust McNally, it's as simple as that. And at the moment, all things considered, McNally and the board believe that the best thing for the club is for Hughton to continue. If the fans drive Hughton out of the club, then McNally and the board are forced into a course of action they believe to be sub-optimal, ie making relegation more likely. Whilst I don't regularly get to games, and for sure it's easier to say this when I'm not paying good money for poor performances, that would be my thought process before I tried to make Hughton's position untenable by booing.

I think trying to force Hughton out in January would be counter-productive anyway, even if we did them sack him in early February. We need someone at the helm so we make good moves in the transfer market, and at least Hughton's record in signing players is something it's difficult to criticise him heavily on.

Best will in the world, Everton were quite irresistible today, superb movement and interchanging of positions. Martinez has done more for that club in six months than Moyes did in a decade. Plus we're not really any worse off than we were at 2.59p.m.

So with the benefit of your wisdom, who shall we replace CH with? Realistically?

It depends entirely on what your expectations are, we´ve been through this sort of thing endless times already, but speaking for myself, no I´m not happy with the season we´re having, but I can quite easily accept what we´re seeing, because sad to say, I don´t honestly believe we´re any better than this. We were bound to have a season where we were going to struggle, at some point or other, and 2013 -2014 seems to be one of those, and add to that the mountain of injuries we´ve had, we´re dead lucky to still be free of the relegation spots imo. Can we fight out a plan for survival and manage to stay up this year then I´ll be delighted, and if we do, then Chris Hughton should be applauded for keeping us up, not harangued for failing to get us into the top 10.

But, at the moment the board think anyone else is equally or more likely to take us down. As I see it, the options are:

A) Stick with Hughton for the season and back him with whatever funds we've got (let's say circa £10m) in January.

B) Sack Hughton and his staff, at a cost of potentially £5m. Find a replacement immediately and give him the remaining £5m to spend in January, based on the limited time he's had to assess our squad.

C) Sack Hughton, then not find a replacement before the end of the window, so sign no new players.

D) Sack Hughton, promote Trollope, Calderwood or Adams from within and give them the £10m to spend. They'll know our squad and trust their judgement on new signings.

E) Back Hughton for now, let him spend freely and hope we improve during January. If we don't then get rid in early February, whether we've got someone lined up or not.

A and E have the same course of action for now. If the board think a new manager would be more helpful than an extra new player (£5m a player sounds fair to me, so that's one less signing if they've got someone ready to take over, 2 fewer signings if they don't), then they should move now as for B or C immediate action is best. D I don't think is likely as Adams is an unknown, and the others never set the world alight as managers. Look how it went for Wolves.

Based on that, unless Hughton goes tonight or tomorrow morning, I think we're sticking with him for at least the rest of January, when the list of options changes.

Are, so if we do eventually end up in the bottom 3, you'll be switching sides and wanting him out.

After all, problems cannot be seen or resolved unless that scenario occurs. Sounds like a great philosophy to run a football club.

No, your point was as we are not in the bottom 3 there is no problem. Not, I don't believe Hughton will get us relegated.

You will find very few managers have all their first team available, Hughton is suffering no more than most.

You don't need names to want the manager out, McNally needs names, and I'm sure he has a list somewhere.

Let's face it shall we?

Hughton has no ideas, he has invested a fair amount in the summer and results are worse in every area.

We concede more.
We score less.
The performances away are worse.
We are not improving in either results or style.

We are regressing as a team. My expectations are not that high, but we are going backwards now. Anyone who says any less is either blind, crazy or a fool.

There is nothing to hold on to about what is happening at the moment, we have invested heavily and we look complete ****. Far worse than what we did under lambert.

We have no fight, grit or guts and it makes me feel sick the way we roll over in games. Urrrghhhhh. It's just so boring.

When we go 1 down away from home I have zero confidence that we will do anything other than roll over and be tickled.

I think we need a change, it's just not working for us you have to be honest there.

As for who should we get it, does it really matter? Really?? We need a lift we really do! we are very low right now and I do not trust CH to inspire anything.

I have to say the OP made me feel a little uneasy. If you want Hughton gone your entitled to your own opinion but the whole idea that every Norwich fan wants Hughton out is silly. I am warming to the idea of looking into getting a new manager at the end of the season (admittedly it is not my decision) WHEN we stay up assuming that performances don't improve but ask yourself honestly:

Do you really think that sacking our manager right now would cause our performances to suddenly improve?

For me the answer is a definite no and furthermore I would have thought it would actually do quite the opposite.

Wake up and smell the coffee. We are not winning or getting any points. Were you away for Xmas or something?

Also it's not about if your in the Hughton in or out camp now. It's about being honest.

If you truly think that we are going in the right direction with CH then you have to start questioning why because there are zero KPI's that share your point of view.

It's almost like the doctor shaking the patient whilst shouting "WAKE UP!" Repeatedly.

Even the old stalwarts who would of even been on here fighting tooth and nail are starting to give up in the face of the overwhelming evidence that CH is not doing us any favours. So cut the crap and be objective.
