Two words:

Luke Varney

Smiths madness and Hunts crapness mean he will play alongside Ross next week.
IF the takeover had happened and IF we really did have finances in place rather than rely on two more either FREE or LOAN players then it might have been Wells starting next week.

Not that I trust the manager with spending any money at the minute.

I missed the bit where Sheldon pointed out Brown and Co having a laugh on the bench as we went 3-0 down, I have to agree, something is VERY wrong...

Well before today we were 1pt off the play off's after half a season.will judge that first.AT LEAST AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THAN HOPED FOR.Second half of the season.NOT A GOOD START BUT NOT GOING TO JUDGE ON A STUPID REF AND 1 VERY POOR PERFORMANCE WITH SOME FLUKY GOALS.

I know your not believing this but today was more than that.

Are you ignoring all the games from Barnsley onwards when you say 1 very poor performance??

If I had been anything other than a Leeds fan I would have said Smith was stupid and deserved it, forget that though, we were already 2-0 down and looking awful, I can't believe the blame is being put on a poor ref

10 games lost already this season. Wouldn't mind betting were behind where we were this time last year under Warnock

Anyone?? When is enough, enough, what position do we have to drop to or what does the scoreline have to reach before you would sack him?

18th minimum. Clubs like Charlton, Birmingham etc have stuck with there managers when hitting them zones and done better than clubs that have changed such as Millwall, Barnsley etc so why shouldn't we? Why should we sack our manager after a very bad patch and we're only at 11th?

Whether we should or shouldn't sack him may become irrelevant shortly. If he can't turn this awful rubbish form around, the new board may be forced to make the decision anyway. No one wants a knee jerk reaction but he's had three quarters of a season and hasn't first idea whats wrong or how to fix it

Evening people. I've been reading the various reactions on here since the end of the match without joining in, mostly to try to get a handle on what my gut feelings were, apart from anger and humiliation. In the end I can't get past the idea that getting rid of McDermott would be a disaster. Back to square 1 at the very least, possibly 2 steps back - who'd want to replace him anyway? At the start of the year there was a broad consensus that we were unlikely to go up this year and that progress would take time - a lot of people seem to have forgotten that, and are looking for unrealistic short-term outcomes. Getting rid of McD would be throwing the baby out with the bathwater, and for all today was shyte we've had a few good moments since August too. In the end I'm with OLOF - keep the faith, and get drunk.

Give them the day off ffs.
Get the DVD out a nd plan where you go from here.
Monday would be time enough, the dog has been whipped enough.

yeh .. then after letting them see the latest 'Nightmare on Elm Street' DVD released today, follow it up with one or two more in matches where we did play well as a team, to get some positivity into their heads (whenever that was!)

Fair enough, just asking what your breaking point would be <ok>

The question to ask is has there been progress where it counts, on the pitch?
For me although results flattered initially I don't see it.
Where we are lucky is that the teams at the bottom have got weaker.
Lets just get to 55 points ASAP.

I'd say there has. At no point in last season after the first few months did I believe that team was possible for promotion. I still believe this team can get to the play offs we're not guaranteed to end up in a relegation dog fight because we've dropped to 11th after a bad month of results. We could go on and win the next 10 matches for all we know but I certainly think we have the quality we didn't last season.
