That would be a fairer argument. What I'm saying is, Flyer is constantly hedging his bets. If we lose its because Redknapp has fu*ked up and he should have done what Flyer suggested but if we win its despite Redknapp, either that or all of a sudden the team is doing what Flyer suggested all along. You can't have it both ways, surely Raving?
This is the 1st game I've seen this season. Ive relied on match reports on here. Is it representative of how we've been playing this year?
Weve played worse than this but theres only been about 3 halves that have been better than this so its a fair reflection. dire, slow and lacking in any intensity at all.
Benayoun looks a terrible signing, not suited to this league. Some nice touches by Kranjcar but largely anonymous. O'Neil doesn't contribute much. Barton stands out with his workrate. Carroll largely anonymous also. This midfield is not suited to this league. Bring Phillips on FFS. I can't believe I am saying this but I would nearly prefer to see SWP playing
Cheers AK Not a great half for us, we had three good chances that went begging. Ipswich have shown more urgency and had the better chances. We need to up our game otherwise it's another away defeat .
Exactly. When Barton was forced off, O'Neill should have dropped back into that position and a winger come on. Quite why O'Neill is playing on the ****ing wing in the first place, I don't know. If anything, it could have been Barton and O'Neill starting in midfield (seeing as O'Neill is an experienced defensive midfielder) and a quick player should have been played on either wing. For the record, I don't thing Benayoun has been given a fair chance yet. When the team start playing more coherently, players like him and Krancjar will benefit from the forward play. They're useless if we are often on the back front, which is often the case lately. The team needs to move forwards as a whole to make use of such players. Faster players like SWP and Phillips are the ones for breaking forwards, not Yossi and Niko.
It is very strange that that Harry has always had a reputation for playing attacking football, but then he keeps on picking totally negative teams. Our midfield today is awful, lightweight with no width or pace. I just don't get it.
Looking at the first half highlights there were some good quick touches from Carroll. Good cross from Krancjar but noone near it.
And someone tell me why Simpson has to ****ing pass it backwards or run backwards every time he gets the ****ing ball?
The only pace and movement in the team we have is Johnson That is what changed the last game in the 2nd half
We're too cautious as a team. We seldom make that chancey pass through. We instead opt for more defensive, sure play. This can only be being bred by Harry and the coaches. GOAL!!! Krancy
