Think Hull are taking a huge risk in signing Jelavic as they currently have Graham. Both are so similar it's unreal. Both started their careers in the Prem very well before then tailing off and couldn't buy a goal. Neither seem to have any obvious qualities. Not pacey, not brilliant in the air, can't run behind. Not skilful to take on players. Give them a chance in the box and they may get a few goals but having 2 massively out of form strikers to rely on in the Prem is dangerous business, especially when you're paying over £10m for them both. Also reminds me of Cisse who they both came into the Prem in Jan, started like house on fire and then have turned ****.
It's 'Le Tallec' Pongolle helped us win a CL trophy too. It wouldn't have happened without his goal against Olympiacos Ps...you missed Djibril Cisse and Djimi Traoré too
Typo And Cisse was actually half decent though, and joined after GH (although I know he was one of his signings).
I edited my comment slightly, there was Djimi Traoré too who was also instrumental in our CL win along with Cisse and Pongolle.
We play Palace and Newcastle in May but the last game is 11th and he's due to return on 14th so depends on the FA Cup I think?
