Our defenders have kept better players quiet this season, I'm sure they can do a job on him too. One worry is he's very good at defending set pieces, so maybe we'll lose a chance there.

I doubt he is up to the task just yet Passive, coming on as sub is my guess, hopefully we have a goal or 2 by then ( have to be optimistic ) also hoping that it's no longer a case of relying on set pieces but getting goals from open play.

If they start him after this long out Fat Sam is beyond desperate.

He's been banging on about him coming back to save the season, he deserves the sack if he rushes him back after this long.

We've got to fly at them, same as we started against Sunderland. We should have the legs to see it out this time and they could well crumble based on current form.

Tomorrow has got disaster written all over it.

All the ingredients are there:

1. Allardyce under pressure
2. West Ham are in a terrible run of form
3 OGS's first game at CCS
4. West Ham have won every game against us since August 2011
5. City haven't scored against West Ham since then
6. Carroll is due to return and our main game winner (Mutch) may be absent
7. City are favourites

City should win but in the league City seem to be jinxed at the moment.

I should have added
8. City do not have any decent defensive full backs to combat Jarvis' & Downing' crosses into the box

I still have the sight of Downing turning McNaughton inside and out at Wembley v Liverpool in my mind<yikes>

Don't worry, when it comes to defending our guys are on automatic pilot still, only now we attack as well.

My only worry is that BFS has been a bit sneaky and has geared up for this game by sacrificing any hope of a result against Man City.
