Met Jon Lansdown today and he suggested City will be busy in transfer market this week. Then a lull and reassess needs towards end of Jan.

How many incoming I wonder...?

Left back is ok with Cunningham, Bryan and King. Can also play Fontaine there. RB is a bigger problem. Its only Moloney who is a known one at the club!

A winger and a striker is a must! Gillett not that bothered on, if he stays meh, if he goes meh. Sure SC can ask 'Arry for a favour and get someone on loan

It's not so much Gillett as an individual player i'm bothered about, more that we need another cm for the squad. Marv, Pack, Reid is a very good middle three but if one gets injured we had to bring on Shorey to play there last time and I would rather not see us have to stick a makeshift cm in there if that occurs. Unless SC thinks Wynter is ready to step up. Although is there any news on Kelly being back to fitness?

Isn't Osbourne capable at right back?

Kelly, Pack, Reid, Wynter, Bryan, Elliott, Gillett for 3 midfield places (Kelly and Reid are givens, so one from the other 5 for the first team). Unless SC knows of an outstanding young defensive midfielder aka Gerry Gow (although that could be Kelly's role once he returns, or even Wynter's), I dont imagine that is an area which needs development.

Burns not seeing much action despite his promise because he is a winger doesn't suggest we will be bringing in any more wingers. I would rather see Burns given match experience

Finally we are seeing a build up of presence in the centre of defence, with Williams, Flint, Carey and Osbourne.
As stated, left back is well covered, so right back has to be an area which needs reinforcing

For me it has to be a couple of strikers - one young and fiesty with promise, the other experienced and prolific.

Wonder what our chances are of landing Phillips ?

We will likely see a new right back either now or the summer as we only have Moloney and it's hard to say if the manager rates him given that he sold him last time to us for free which rarely happens when a player is under contract unless u just want them off the wage bill.

The manager has said he has no natural wingers at the club which would before indicate he wants to bring someone in but if he is now going with 3 at the back with wing backs then the players he wants may change.

I do think we as a club have only played the formations we have to fit JET in to play behind baldock so if JET was to go then the team and tactics and who we bring in May also change
