I'm very optimistic about OGS. However, such is the opinion that people in high places have of him that I worry that we won't have him for terribly long, particularly if Man U continue to struggle. Two years?
It's already been said GLAM. He's no pussycat when it comes to ambititon. Pretty ruthless guy under that boyish exterior. If he does the job for us in the meantine, fair enough. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs...-towards-old-trafford-ruthless-150052670.html
No need Glam - it's a very good talking point. I only read that Eurosport blog myself over the weekend - I was surprised nobody else had picked it up. We'll keep your thread live - at least it's about our club going forward, not just Ole.
Managers come and go. So long as they leave with us in as good a position as when they arrived or better, we should thank them for that. Dave Jones and MM moved us forward in their own way. IF OGS does the same I'll be happy. If in two years time OGS moves on with us having survived in the PL I'll thank him for what he has done. Let's enjoy his time here first though. He's only just arrived, lets not think about him leaving. We're not Swansea you know.
I realise that survival is the main concern for the moment, and I really believe that we will survive now. You see new managers come in and turn clubs around with the new broom attitude, but I don't think I've ever seen a manager come in with such an easy charm about him. Yet, behind that charm theres is, as has been mentioned, steel; steel and deep knowledge. I for one can't wait for the Hammers game. SO much for tearing up the season ticket....
Bugger it GLAM......i was relying on that st! If ogs is successful for us after two years and moves on then it will be with my grateful thanks. Hopefully he will have also instilled a better footballing ethic and a ccfc that is good to watch and respected
I'll be over the moon if he's 'poached' by a massive club in 2 seasons. We'll obviously still be in the PL and progressing if that happens
If he is eyeballed by a massive club he may stay and show the same commitment as his manager at Man Utd...
Well, it has to be said that a lot of ambition has been shown in getting him, and they've clearly told him that they want success. Interesting times.
Yes, no doubt that Tan is ambitious but not a fool either. Putting OGS on a rolling contract just in case Man U comes calling.
