Any idea if the new Egyptian player is coming in on loan or permanent? Ramy Rabia has a great future ahead of him and would love him to be here for the next few seasons to come at least

Many comment, that too his credit, Allam (unlike Tan) doesn't directly meddle with the first team's affairs. Yet, was it entirely Bruce's decision to bring Gedo back to the club on loan I wonder? Fathi never seemed to get a look in last season either, so I can't help but feel that he too was forced upon Bruce.

No it wasn't, otherwise he would've been involved with the first team more often.

Rb too

about Fathi
i don't really understand why he never get his chance with hull
he is again in the shortlist for best African-based player award
and again he is competing for the best RB in africa 2013

I cannot understand that also, against Wolves away I think it was he was arguably our best player.

He was, but without him, it'd have ended 0-0. It was his calamity that gave them the winner.

so because of one mistake he never had another big chance?

i watched every game for hull this year and believe me i am still think fathi is better than both Rosenior and Elmo and he can even do a better job than meyler in the midfield

i guess bruce never wanted Fathi so he was always out of his plans for the team last season

Bruce just didnt fancy him as a player. Simple as that.

If fathi is such a stand out player, I'm not saying he isnt, then another premier club will take him or other European clubs even.

But Rosenior's Nan is from Hull, so he is infinitely better.

It is a mystery but I always wondered whether Fathi was ever in his first team plans. I got the impression he wanted Gedo but Fathi was a plan B if Sunderland failed to release Elmo.
Maybe the timing of the two deals worked out badly and he ended up with a superfluous player.

The situation of Gedo this season is more of a mystery though. We all know the player has good potential in the key area where we are most lacking and Bruce seemed to like him in the Championship.
Gedo has recently scored for Egypt which dispels questions about fitness and sharpness, so I haven't got a clue, but it's a shame things haven't worked out for him.

Both of these players have been underutilised IMO

If it's Bruce who wants Rami Rabia then he'll get a chance, if not, same old
