Might not be a great line of argument, but he's scored twice in 2 games against PL teams (Fulham and Man City); for the winner for that Fulham game no one could keep up with him. He deserves a shot at the PL on his current form.
Chris Wood is close to returning and could be involved next week. Sean St. Ledger is no closer to returning then he was when he got injured. I would be very surprised to see him play for us again
According to the Leicester mercury KS is a doubt for the game v Stoke. I think there may be a few others to follow too.
Knockaert playing behind the 2 or Schlupp and Knockaert playing off Vardy? I think Nigel has got the team spot on. He has rested everyone who needed it
@OfficialFOXES: Shakey: "Lots of quality in our squad. You can see that in our team today. I'm excited by it. Diamond midfield with Knockaert in the hole." Big chance for Knockaert
Tactics all wrong but Nigels hand tied for me. Dyer needed a rest but we really should be playing with wingers against a side that set up to put balls in the box. Our fullbacks are suffering. We've also got no height. If Kasper is going to be kicking long we might as well not bother. Set pieces are going to be a pain, too.
To be honest our strongest 11 would have struggled with their height. As long as we fight and the scoreline is respectable I won't be upset at all if we lose
2-1 FT. Back to sorting out automatic promotion now please. Some interesting results today, good result for Rochdale!
Overall pretty pleased with that. We gave our best and gave a Stoke a game while resting some big players. Great for Nugent's confidence aswell
You played well today guys. Once Dyer and Nugent came on it was a little one sided until then. I sincerely hope you come up as I don't like QPR.. one of their fans seem's to delight in wumming our board. Queenslander, where are you know? All the best for the rest. P.S. WHEN you get promoted. How much do you think you would need to spend? No offence but you seemed a bit lightweight in midfield. Maybe some height in defence. But overall I think you would do O.K. in this league.
We rested a lot of players from our normal side. Danny Drinkwater bosses most games for us in he middle of the park. But even then we would be a little lightweight in the prem. At the back we have big Wes who is colossus for us. He was rested today and then we have Liam Moore alongside him who was rested today Spending wise we would probably need to spend 10-20M. Nigel Pearson is very good at finding players from abroad for next to nothing to we wouldn't have to break the bank to sign quality players Good luck for the rest of the season
You'll find him here from time to time! I don't care how much we spend as long as its on quality, I'd rather do a Cardiff than a Palace.
Well we played a very much under strength side today. We played a 4-1-2-1-2 or 'the diamond' in the first half and it's a formation we've not used under Pearson. Our two centre halves were also our backups with club captain Wes Morgan and academy hot prospect Liam Moore our preferred choices. Overall it was a good test for our side. It'd have been interesting to have seen our first XI have a go against your lot today, think it'd have been a lot closer (especially first half). Good luck for the season, got some Stoke supporting mates so I always keep my eye out for your scores.
