He is betting than anything we have and knows the crack.
Strange how his stocks seems to have fallen, you don't here much about him.
Wouldn't want to pay him more than 60k though which he would be unlikely to accept.

ffs you dave, explain why its a stupid comment.
City and Chelsea have stronger squads so doubtful, but if we got one more season of Stevie of 08/09 why not, should imagine that's where he was coming from.
2-3 more seasons of ok does the job or one more of what if, know which i would prefer to see.
fair comments Gerrez,
couldn't you have said that the first time round lol.
like to see Gerrard further forward but depends who is behind him i suppose.
-----------Salah------------Alonso------------
--------------------Coutniho-------------------
---Gerrard--------Studge----------Luis----
that looks tasty to me, but maybe we would be weak from a defensive point of view, who knows.
personally love to find out though.
ps Milner is **** isnt he lol

with Henderson,Allen,Sterling,Gerrard etc on the bench?
I'll say it again, he's too expensive and his age does not fit our player purchase profile. On top of that you need to consider the type of game he would want to play and the style of football that we are now playing - the two are far from a perfect fit.
Very very few players returns to former clubs are happy affairs and I don't see enough in him to believe that he would do any different.
Finally, and most importantly he refused to play for us whilst he was still a Liverpool player. For me that is unforgivable and I never want to see him in our shirt again. You may be prepared to sacrifice your pride but he's not special enough for me as either a player of individual to even consider it.
Why are we dropping Henderson, our second best player this season?
The way Henderson plays, he can become a legend for us. This is his breakthrough season.
I would love Mascherano.
We aren't signing Alonso or Mascherano ffs
What's this obsession with bringing back old players??

AS everyone else has said, anywhere around £10m would be a good deal and just what we need in the middle at the moment. Not only a brilliant DM but loads of energy and very good on the ball (and could only have got better having trained at Barca for 4 years).
Salah is a risky signing. He doesn't have the greatest record in a weaker league so its probable that he'll be another Assaidi. Obviously hope I'm wrong if we do sign him.
Alonso I would love but, like with Stevie, he wouldn't suit our current style. The CMs need to be full of energy, they need to do lots of running and that was never Xabi's game. Mascherano would be a better fit in that respect. Of course, Xabi is the best passer of the ball I've seen too so he would in with the possession approach. I would be concerned if both him and Gerrard were in the same side though and I'd feel sorry for the third CM.
On the title comment, we could get both plus Javier on we still wouldn't win it. Not enough depth and options in attack.
