What do you think we should do on Saturday?

    1. Play our strongest team & go for it hoping to win.
    2. Play our 2nd string players & go for it but not expect much and not worry about losing.
    3. It's meaningless this year so who cares, staying up is what matters.

    I would go for #2.

Good chance for OLG to try things out without too much pressure - key players could probably do with a rest so I'd say halfway between 1 and 2

Other than gunnar getting an idea of whats what, rest who we can, we have no time for cup games really, other than to use for trying out some stuff.

Do you say that hoping a win can give us some impetus Nin.
    Bolster the team and fans?
Not a bad idea, would be good for morale all round.

Or do you feel it worth going for in an effort to get as far as we can.

I am a bit fed up getting to all these cup finals to be honest plus there was a play off final we had to go to as well.

Please god we do not end up in the europa cup as we will be forced to play in that too.

Try to win as many as we can, winning becomes a habit and in January we wont win many.

    Option One for me.

Ole needs to put out the best team he sees fit in an attempt to win a game - whatever game that is, the competition doesn't matter. Saying the West Ham game a week later is far more important is a given, but there's no better mentality than a winning mentality.

You could argue if we lose at Newcastle with our best side then we will be on a downer, but I don't think so. The old chestnut of "we didn't want to win it anyway" would be trotted out and we'd go into the Hammers game at the CCS none the worse. I just hope Ole doesn't experiment too much.

Whoever is picked for the Newcastle game will be hell bent on putting in a performance in front of him - let's hope he gets the system right as well as the players.

He surely has to play the first choice players. Anyone being rested by the new man will feel dropped. Also there's the change of manager performance accumulator, a bit wasted on a cup game, but the rule says you don't get a second role of the dice. Hoping for momentum is the only real option here.

Would have gone for 2 but that explanation by HistoryRepeating is a very convincing argument to go for broke.

Play the strongest team. A good opportunity for Ole to try out things in a proper competitive match.

Well ok I am convinced we should go and win it this time and not just be satisfied with getting to the final from the championship.

We have a huge squad of players we have never even seen they can go and win it for us.
