I'll be sorely disappointed if Moyle Park isn't capable of running beyond 140 today and if he does he should win quite convincingly. 7/4 2.15 Wetherby Majala 5/2
Sprinter is the main attraction at Kempton. Sire De Grugy has done well to stand his ground. If the Champ is ever going to lose to the current crop it will be today.
Do you think it's a definite that Sire De Grugy will follow SS home or is it worth trying to back one of the other horses at a much bigger price for place money?
I think he's going to be ridden to collect second prize so if that's the case he will come second but if they get into a scrap he could easily fall back through the field. I doubt the forecast will pay well enough to bother Badger.
No bets for me after an absolute shocker yesterday - worst Boxing Day in living memory for me, not a single winner. Happy to sit and watch the superstar today. Best of luck to everyone dabbling
Kung Hei Fat Choi being backed again today (Southwell 2.25) - no idea what it means but it's a cracking name
Your right the forecast will be crap but i was thinking if Sire De Grugy isn't the horse to finish second then the odds on the remaining horses are 25/1, 50/1, 66/1 & 100/1 respectively so it might be worth going ew on them and hoping one of the grabs second. At the odds, you should make a profit, a small one anyway, on 3 of the 4 remaining horses. The bet will go tits up if Sire De Grugy gets second, in which case i'd get **** all or if the 25/1 shot got 2nd and i'd make a small loss but still get something back. I might think on it some more, as i'm writing this there's a lot of IF's and BUT's to consider so might not be worth it!
Happy New Year isn't it? He was eyecatching last time out. I really like Ma Filleule in the 3 miler. Ran on ground that she didn't like at Cheltenham (NH quoted as saying he wanted rain the evening before) and has been dropped down the handicap as result. She now gets soft ground and is going to be fitter for the run. She is a nice horse who looks every inch a chaser... She is well weighted on hurdles form and I think she can go well today. 9/1
No bets yesterday as I was too busy, nice to see Silviniaco win the KG - Was and remain convinced that he would have taken all the beating in the CGC if not falling and quickly took the 12/1 on offer for next year.
Anyone see the Racing Post Novice Chase at Leopardstown yesterday? Cracking scrap between Defy Logic and Champagne Fever, with Champagne Fever clouting the 2nd last hard ruining his chance. Would be interested on the thoughts of those who saw the race - would Defy Logic have won anyway? Seemed to have worried Champagne Fever out of it if you ask me, CF wasn't able to dominate from the front as he likes.
Agree, cityhull, he won well, damn good performance. Cue Card ran a fine race in defeat. CC always requires cut in the ground to give his very best, and he had it yesterday. He goes on 'soft' just fine, but the 'heavy' patches on the track quite possiblý found him out over this distance and on a track he probably doesn't like, ran out of gas, and was outstayed by the winner. Winner has a huge chance in CGC, for sure.
210 leicester this has me extremely puzzled stow the favourite was second to belle de fontenay not long ago here at Leicester at this distance with similar conditions and the same jockeys belle is 4lbs better of today yet 5/1 with a few bookies worth a small bet in my eyes
Headleys Bridge in the last at Leicester -also like This is Me at Wolverhampton-Welsh national coming tomorrow, hope to find a nice outsider! Good luck if you play!
