Well well, the big day is nearly here. Anyone know what they're getting? I think I'm getting some fur lined crocs, which is a daring call seeing as I've often stated I'd never be seen dead in the bastards, and no doubt some other stuff. They look ok though, they'll be ok for gardening and as slippers. Will I wear them outside of the confines of my property though? No, will I ****. Got her a food mixer so she best get making some decent cakes. Tomorrow, best day of the whole shebang. Beach walk in the morning, back to get changed then dinner down the local in front of the fire. Some fish of some sort probably. Then back home, crack open some booze, light the wood burner and get all festive. Shame that it's pissing down with gale force wind but you can't have it all. Happy Christmas all!
I've already had my presents.. Think I will have about 3 things to open. Christmas Eve morning will be spent prepping Christmas dinner. Then plan on popping to the boozer for a couple early doors. As do not want a hangover Christmas Day. My Christmas menu is as follows: Breakfast: eggs Benedict with crispy Parma ham. Starter: filo king prawns with chilli dip. Main: turkey, pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese, braised red cabbage, honey roast parsnips, goose fat roast potatoes, garlic and sage stuffing, cranberry and chestnut stuffing. Got some nice sausage meat to make it with. Braised carrot (Tom kerridge), sprouts which will be par boiled then halved and pan fried in butter with bacon lardons. Dessert: lemon meringue pie, cherry pavlova. Boxing Day: Doing pulled pork: the one Gordon Ramsey did. With homemade slaw.
Christmas day I do breakfast, which is sausage, bacon, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, beans and toast. Bit of bucks fizz to kick things off. She is doing the dinner. It will be turkey and her mum will bring a beef joint round. Various veg included, I think she's doing the spouts with chestnuts and pancetta. Standard veg otherwise. Desserts will be Christmas pudding, trifle and a cheese cake her mum will bring. Cheers, biscuits and port in the evening. Pickled wallnuts included.

Well, just got home from work. Don't even know where to start! Actually I do, her car is finally ready to be picked up, Christmas eve so nice timing, and while it was being fixed the mot expired so i need to book an mot for tomorrow morning. After that though, well who knows? Baileys perhaps?
Cheers sweats. It's Cockney Roger's and as you know, it could go either way Swarbs is over for a pint tonight
Whichever way it goes it sounds like it will be funny. I'm imagining it to be reminiscent of the royale family. You being jim royale.
Jim Royale, as in Royale with cheese? Or Jim Royal, like Jim Royal? Royale makes him sound a bit too posh for the party he's going too.
My Mrs has just come back with the nicest cheese board I've ever seen and 2 bottles of Mount Gay Rum - I know her game, dirty old bint
I bought captain cooks smooth spiced rum from lidl! Beautiful. I only bought it to put in mulled cider, I'm sure it's just the same!
