I don't see any reason to have a go at JdG...... he performed as well as any and not nearly as poor as Pablo or Routledge. We didn't really have a stand out player today - it was our usual average selves.
I'm not sure the players believe they can win games anymore.

Lets get one thing straight! We didn't match them in the final third, and while we had our usual possession stats, we did bugger all with it, stop making excuses for another game lost that even junior league kids could have buried the opportunities in front of goal!................<ok>

I can't even be bothered to go into lengthy explanations of the issues, most of which are pretty obvious to every Jack and his dog, except Laudrup, why the hell he persists with Aloe Vera is beyond me, the guy is a dud, big time, another Panstado, Shec etc, who are well suited to lower leagues. I'm sure Donnelly could have had a goal there today, but Dai is right, Laudrup is starting to sound full of maybes or I should haves, we missed the Borini transfer? We missed the Lukaku transfer? and Laudrup doesn't think we need a striker signing in January? The question you should be asking Knackered, is what game is Laudrup watching? that's the real bloody question!

I was at the game (you almost certainly were not) and am entitled to my opinion just as you are to disagree - even though I paid good money to watch the game whereas you did not. Both opinions are equally valid.

So if you don't mind I won't get anything "straight" just because you put an exclamation mark after a comment - if that's OK like. I am not "making excuses" either and am happy to have a go at players if they deserve it. Tremmel was at fault for both goals but I don't see anyone have a go at him, only their favourite hate figures. Vasquez missed an absolute sitter too and should be sent packing. I've already said this. Hardly "making excuses" is it? <doh>

Matched them ??? We were nowhere near them for technical display. All we do is pass the ball about and always have the majority of possession going nowhere. we get less chances at goal than the opposition and they just bide their time while they watch us pissing around until we eventually lose the ball then they show us how exactly how it should be done. Its a bloody joke because laudrup plays the same way every single game and it is destroying us and making the players look fools on the pitch. They are bloody good players every single one of them and until laudrup realizes it is he who is at fault then we will win the odd game now and again and when we do he thinks we have turned the corner...well this season and half of last season proves he has got it all wrong and has as much motivation and technical skill as someone in league one and two....We need someone who can play our system and laudrup can take his type of football elsewhere..... Matched them my foot...

This from Matthew Bound Still Lurks on another thread. Talking about criticism of players and the Manager. Top post that says it all.

"Instead why not discuss a defender who made a decision to give away agree kick (prior to that he was mom imo) , in area where they could and did (by poor goal keeping ) harm us .No mention of that , De guzman (and I've been one of his critics ) probably had one of his better games today , when you think how Everton flooded the midfield then I believe him and Shelvey worked well . 1 free kick cost us today taken by a lad who everyone's raving about and rightly so .They're 4th and if they keep their consistency will be there at the end of the season. With Michu, Dyer , Leon, Rangel out today of course we were weakened ,Tiendalli not the scapegoat today even though he's been slated previously , not his turn today was it .No, the flavour of the month is the manger , some you really should stick to playing football manager . "

Some people may need a look at this - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/ - to remind them of where Everton are in the League. You won't find a poor side in the top four. Yet people expect us to turn such clubs over.

Everton are having a great season and recently have drawn away to Arsenal and turned Man U over at Old Trafford. We played them without Michu, Rangel, Vorm and Dyer - four key players for the Swans.

Personally I thought it was a great game of technical football, with Everton always having the upper hand due to their extra speed/physical strength. Dyer is a huge loss for us as he is our key "speedster" - without him our attack has severe limitations.

Yet we took on Everton, gave them a good game - and a great strike from Lamah matched by a great save from Howard was the decider which gave Everton the victory. My only disappointment was that some of the 50/50 challenges were easily won by Everton - and indirectly led to their first goal.

There are times when you have to say we were beaten by a better team - and today we were.

So for the MOANERS we now have to play the following teams in the Premiership:

    Chelsea (away)
    Aston Villa (away)
    Man City (home)
    Man United (away)

Last season we amassed 1 point from those four fixtures (in fact we had one point from 5 games if we include todays opponents, Everton).

EXPECT A SIMILAIR RETURN (if we are lucky) in the next fortnight. Anyone calling for Laudrups head after that run is no better than VINCENT TAN.

Its not just today is it <doh> Its been all season and half the season before that, when are you going to wake up and smell the coffee and realize its laudrups fault we are as bad and going backwards at a rate of knots. If it was just a blip then i would not say anything but when the blip lasts for a year then you cant keep making excuses and neither can laudrup. Even the players don't look happy and the liberty is turning out to be nicknamed the library...We will be very lucky to stay up at this rate and that is not a joke and it will be to late then to rubbish laudrup as inadequate and not the manager for us.you mark my words...

I would agree with you, but none of what you have stated is the issue, we are bloody clueless in front of goal, and today neither Routledge, Bony, Hernandez, Aloevera, Shelvey etc, could find the back of the net? it's getting bloody embarrassing when we miss sitters that school kids could put away! Bloody so called Professional millionaires that can't hit a bloody barn door with the bloody proverbial banjo! Bloody pathetic, and I couldn't care less if we had played bloody Barcelona today, we are a bloody joke in front of goal!...................<ok>
