I felt the same after 5 minutes with Forrest Gump. By the end of the film I knew why. It was OKish.

Yeah Forrest Gump is one of those movies I just don't "get". It's alright and all, inoffensive, but certainly not one of the best films ever, by my preferences at least.

It owes a lot to the acting ability of Tom Hanks. It has some great moments and memorable lines, but no way should it be beating Shawshank to all the Oscars.

That is right near my house! I go past there all the time. They used to have UKIP banners so they must have strong political views etc.

I think it's like one of those anti-jokes Joe was on about. There's very little to get. If someone tells me Forrest Gump was a metaphor for something I'll disagree. :)

Forest Gump is amazing. If ever a film was a tradegy, Forest Gump is. The best bit is the short period in which both Forest and Jenny are in Jenny are in Washington and they spend the night just wondering the streets of DC, which is just after Jenny is beaten by her douche of a bf. It's the short period of the film that everything just seems as if it it right, if it is working somehow, between Jenny and Forest. Much of the rest of the film doesn't have that feeling.

The Super Mario Bros movie is a true triumph of cinema. Bob Hoskins as Mario and Dennis Hopper as Bowser, what more could you want?

While we're here, or if you have just got up in the morning and are reading this, you are passing through, or have just passed through the longest night of this year. After today the nights get shorter and the days get longer. Yeehaw..! :)

I recorded anchorman the other night, and just finished watching it. What a bonkers film.

With my sleeping pattern as bad as it has been lately, I can't help but notice that every night, this place goes down for about 15 minutes between 4 and 5. It's a dark 15 minutes.

Also I just got my first healthy dose of unnecessary vitriol against me on Reddit, feels like a rite of passage.

And when I'm awakening between 5-6 am at the moment, I keep seeing that I've just missed you young uns.... We're like ships that pass, and I feel like its practice for when my two start heading out in the night.

Now you be safe Dan; don't get into any trouble and make sure you lock the door on the way in.

I've recorded it also; is it with the 2% on my box or the 2 hours watching time?

I recorded 'Where Eagles Dare' Wednesday night. My wife is distraught that I've told my son, 12, that it is anothe father and son movie date ahead. You just can't watch enough of that film.

I couldn't honestly say. Some of my mates find it hilarious.

I found it funny, but random funny. It's a silly film, but quite good.

That's got something to do with why we don't have database errors any more. I think he resets the server every 24 hours.

Was it worth it? Doesn't that mean you have to go and abuse someone else now?

I'm getting a weird sense of deja vu from this thread. Either that or the last few pages have disappeared and it's saying posts from a couple of weeks ago were posted today. :S
