You mean Aluko, who instantly proved he was well up to playing in the premier league (the strongest league in the world) in his first 10 games, isn't as good as samaras who had 50 something games in a stronger side and failed miserably?

Disregarding all the stastictics flying about from harryhood67 I would just like to make a point about his obsession with rugby and the city of Hull. I am no lover of the egg chasing sport but I have many friends who are, they cover both codes and in Hull wear the black and white and red and white with pride no matter what the numerical totals are. Then there is the union side of the sport that is also thriving in and around the city and I can assure you their supporters, along with their league counterparts are as passionate if not more so than any footballing fan of any division.
I have attended rugby games and it doesn't float my boat at all, but I cannot fault the passion these people show for what is still a minority sport compared to football. I have been sat amongst the Hull/ Rovers supporters after a weekend derby game and whoever won meant that neutral observers, like myself, are best keeping their mouths shut and let the banter commence. And I can also say that rugby supporters are considered less likely to cause the type of trouble so associated with football over the years despite the physical attributes of the game.
Rugby adds another sporting dimension to the city especially when both Hull/Rovers played a sell out game at the old Wembley stadium and brought quite a bit of tv coverage to the city. I have suffered merciously at the hands of the rugby supporting people over the years when City were not doing so good but that is was mickey taking and banter is all about, and I have to say no abuse. I know you have the union side of the code up in Glasgow, which you don't seem to mention, but associating Hull and rugby league is no big deal, they have a history as much as Hull City AFC.

They also rank each league individually but I can't find that now. But I think that still clears it up.
How does it 'clear it up'? You've used one confederations ranking system. In the club world cup there are 4 winners from Brazil in the last 12 years compared to 1 English. Brazil has had 6 finalists in 12 years. Id say that 'clears it up'.
And coefficient ratings are built up over a long period of time, you didnt say 'best league in the world over the last 5 years'. And you didnt look very hard for individual clubs then. There isnt an English club in the top 3 of UEFA's ratings and there are more Spanish clubs in the top 10 than English.

This is hardly news, I couldve told The Smackman that. Lazio only sign strikers on frees when their contracts expires. There was never any chance whatsoever they'd be interested in Jan, but if he's still at Septic after the window closes then they almost certainly will be interested.
Who mentioned the Italian league? I certainly didnt. And that's a convenient excuse 'oh we dont try hard'. So what happened when Utd DID win it then? They chose to try hard for 1 year and then never bothered again I suppose? It's like when Utd and City and every other ruddy club get dumped out of the UEFA cup. 'Oh we werent trying' but if they won it you can guarantee it'd 'be another show of strength from the Premier League. You cant have it both ****ing ways.
And yes I do watch the Brazillian league. Ive said on many occasions here I have BT sport for such reasons and everyone mocks the **** out of me. Do you watch it?

Yes I've watched plenty over the last 2 or 3 years, not just this season. The standard is pathetic considering some of the talent and the national team that country produces. There's a couple of special players in there but for the main part the teams are made up of journeymen, the standard of defending is horrifically poor. Shocking. And the sheer amount of diving and play acting.

Of course I wouldnt. But that's not what happened in the UEFA cup or the Club WCup is it? Utd's FIRST CHOICE TEAM were ripped to ****ing shreds by Bilbao. 'Oh we didnt want to win it, it's too much of a distraction'. Complete and utter bollocks. It's like when Chelsea were absolutely battered by Atletico 'oh we didnt try' despite fielding the first choice team and then miraculously when they beat Bayern the years later its "WHOOP WHOOP, WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS AND THE EPL RULES SUPREME'.
And no you got me completely wrong, I never mentioned Serie A at any stage. I just dont think the EPL is the 'strongest in the world' using any possible baromoter you can.
