The cricket equivalent of "Miracle at Medina?" One can only hope..
But I fear when I wake up early tomorrow the convicts will be celebrating a "well deserved" Ashes triumph!
Can't really fault our bowlers, on three batting tracks we've scored 300 once and failed to get more than 200 three times, that's simply not acceptable!
If it wasn't for the great result we had at the lane yesterday I'd be phucking fuming!

How many balls will Swann face from Johnson before he chucks his wicket away again, the ****ing blouse?

Dark day for English cricket and from my point of view, totally unexpected. Reckon Pieterson's finished after this, but they were all ****e, bar a decent effort from Stokes on the last two days. Convict scum <doh>

Looks like the peaked last time they were down under.
We won 3-0 here but that result flattered us if I'm being honest.
I think Carberry did well and deserves to stay in the side, Cook is the capt. going through a rough patch, but he'll comeback, he stays.
    Bell stays so does Root.
Would like to see Trott over come his illness, quality #3
To be honest, wasn't sold on Stokes but I'm happy to admit I was wrong, we may have found a replacement for Freddie a true all rounder, so he stays.
Broad has been our best bowler for the last 12-18 months, he's not going anywhere, and whilst he's not shown it here, he's decent enough with the bat.

KP is on borrowed time, too late for the series now but in order to save his Test career he needs to bang in a few decent knocks.
Anderson needs a rest, he's not getting much swing in these conditions with these balls esp, so I'd drop/rest him and bring in one/two of big lads (too little too late but rough these ****ers up a bit!)
Prior has been shocking with the bat now for a while, one decent knock in New Zealand last year but other than, pretty poor, his glove work as also struggled, however right now, who is there to replace him?
Swann was out bowled by Lyon and he's ****e! I'd give Monty a run in the team.

With all that said and done, the best team won and won deservedly! Well done <doh>

Trust me, it wasn't easy, but credit where its due.

    [Rant - On]

BUT.. our batsmen did make these average chuckers look world class!
The Aussies on "paper" aren't the best bowling lineup in the world, I'd give the Saffers the nood there, with Pakistan behind them and then England should (does) have a better bowling attack..

Bowling does depend on where the match is being played. It's not too long ago that we won the series in India either.

Agreed, conditions play a huge part, be it the pitch, cloud cover or lack of, type of ball/seam.
But the Aussie bowling attack isn't as good as ours, yet they looked like world beaters (albeit with the assistance of our inept batsmen) and ours couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo from a yard out!

I phoned my reporter mate for a football-related conversation earlier, and the first thing out of his mouth was "I hope the useless ****s get beaten 5 - 0 now. ****ing disgrace and **** Pietersen off to India forever". I think he'd had some time to calm down <laugh>

I don't mind if we get beat and we've given it a fair crack of the whip..
But they've turned up as if they're on a ****ing jolly, no application, no pride, no fight, no balls, no chance..
One part of me agrees with your mate in that we get beat 5-0 another part wants us to get a bit of pride back and win the last two tests.
However all that would do (winning the last two test's) apart from being very frustrating is that it would paper over the cracks of the first three tests.

There are too many English players in the England team, that's why you lost.
