Club in disarray, other fans laughing at us. It kinda feels like coming home after being away for a number of years
Damiao's form has dropped off horribly, by all accounts. The Brazilian system means that the top sides play a number of games against very poor teams and they're the only ones he's scored in. He's trying to guarantee his place in the Brazil squad at the World Cup by moving to rejuvenate his play and give himself a fresh start.
For those of you interested in the fortunes of our ex-players, you may be interested to hear that Paul Robinson played his first game for over a year last night for the Blackburn under 21 side. Robbo had major surgery last year on a back injury and then developed a blood clot on his lung. Great to hear he is in good health again and on his way back to full match fitness.
Thats what those magic pies do for ya! ...no, great news, Robbo will always been remembered fondly and also for kicking the ball in a gooners face at the lane!
Good to hear that he's well on the road to recovery, but I didn't even know that he'd had health problems. I thought he'd just been frozen out at Blackburn, for some reason. Always had a great rapport with the fans and I'm sure he'll always get a good reception at the Lane.
Hodgson getting in his excuses for the first match already, whinging about the weather in Manaus. Funny he isn't aware that Sao Paulo is at a higher elevation and has appalling air pollution, which would actually make conditions worse for England's second game so he has something to complain about there ...but there's no point kvetching about the weather in Belo Horizonte, as England would have been eliminated before their match with Costa Rica.
Has anyone seen that report saying AVB did not want Lamela,Eriksen,Chadli and Vlad, are were bough against his wishes, now wonder we did'nt see much of them
I bet Redknapp would make good use of all of them. I think Lamela and Eriksen are not the finished article, about the same level as Tom Carroll, however, I rate Tom Carroll so highly I am hopeful with both of them. Chadli looks better every game he plays and Vlad has looked our best signing of the last transfer window. I think Baldini is not far wrong.
When managers get sacked, there is always PR stuff from both sides "leaked" to the media. This is just AVB's people making sure their guy doesn't get too much of a battering.
Eriksen - Probably true, as he was bought after Chelsea were scammed out of £30m on the Premier League's second-worst Brazilian ever Lamela - 50/50, as the deal did come from nowhere Chadli - Unlikely, given he was signed early Chiriches - Most likely false, as we kept trying to push the transfer through
Les Ferdinand has been quoted as confirming that Villas-Boas was ok with all the new signings. I'll go with Les on this one.
Yeah, thats unbelieveable,i'd make them sack me,if they do and go back down,i think the fans would like to run Tan out of Cardiff
